I kept my computer tucked away all weekend but thankfully have a moment to sit down and chat with all of you this morning. For today’s blog post, we’re diving into last week’s workouts. With summer in full swing, my workouts are all over the place, as I have the boy home with me and have found myself gravitating toward a combination of at-home workouts and boot camp workouts. I also had the chance to try out a Pilates class at a new studio which felt like a treat… well, a treat that seriously burned my core.
Week of Workouts: June 2025

Monday: Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders Workout (Caroline Girvan YouTube)
I’ll sing the praises of Caroline Girvan’s YouTube channel for all time because it really is one of my absolute favorites when I am looking for an at-home workout and not in the mood to program something for myself. She has so many workout options available and I can almost always find one that fits the criteria I am looking for on any given day. Last Monday that looked like a biceps, triceps and shoulder workout and I turned to one of my favorites. It’s a quick one (less than 40 minutes) and it keeps things moving in a way that feels effective and efficient.

Tuesday: Leg Day Workout (Caroline Girvan YouTube)
On Tuesday I was looking for a leg workout I could complete in our garage gym in 40(ish) minutes and Carolina Girvan’s EPIC Leg Day workout was a challenging lower body burner I loved! Leg day is never my favorite workout of the week so I appreciate it when a workout is under 45 minutes, challenging and fast-paced enough not to be boring. I made sure to save this link for future leg day workouts!

Wednesday: Chest, Back, Shoulders Workout (Caroline Girvan YouTube)
Surprise, surprise! Another Caroline Girvan gem! This workout was a chest, back and shoulders burner I completed in 30 minutes before the craziness of the day began.

Thursday: Rest
No workout for me on Thursday! Our friends were arriving in town a little before lunchtime and I spent the morning cleaning and food prepping for their visit. Wait, does cleaning count as workout?
-
Friday: Burn Boot Camp Arm Day Workout
On Friday, my friend Merri and I took the 8 a.m. Burn camp together before we spent the rest of the day on the lake with our families! It felt good to get in a quick sweat and we did a workout that focused on upper body.
-
Saturday: Rest
No workout on Saturday — just lots of lake and pool time with our friends!
-
Sunday: JetSet Pilates Class
On Sunday morning, my friend Merri and I took a JetSet Pilates class! Merri has done JetSet Pilates before and liked it and when I mentioned a new studio recently opened in town, she was all about taking a class together. We attended the 9 a.m. class on Sunday and daaang did this one burn! I really loved it and know deep core and stability work is something that would undoubtedly benefit my current fitness routine if I did it more regularly. I have a hard time feeling motivated to do Pilates or stability work on my own so maybe buying a package at a local studio to go in-person once a week or so would be a good option? Alternatively, if any of you have any Pilates YouTube instructors you swear by for workouts you genuinely want to do, please share!!
Question of the Day
Does your fitness routine change at all in the summer months?
Any Pilates workout recommendations for me to try — in person classes, YouTube channels, etc.? Also, if you do any specific stability/mobility training and have videos you follow for this that are actually enjoyable and don’t bore you to tears, please share!
