Fives!

September 28, 2011 by Julie 105 Comments

Leftovers for lunch!

Despite eating Italian chicken sausage for dinner last night, I was awfully excited to eat it again this afternoon.

alfresco chicken sausage 003

Sadie desperately wanted in on that sausage.

I wasn’t in a sharing mood (so evil, I know), so I tried to tempt her with some carrots.

Clearly she wasn’t having it.

We’re friends again though, don’t worry. It only took one piece of chicken jerky to get back on her good side.

Fives

The next portion of today’s post is brought to you by Cait and Chelsey who posted this fun survey on their blogs. I totally stole it because I think surveys are so much fun (that’s the eighth grader in me coming out).

The survey theme? The number five! Let’s get to it!

Last five people I talked to on the phone:

  1. Overstock.com customer service
  2. My dad
  3. Ryan
  4. Interview guy
  5. My sister

Last Five Meals I Ate:

  1. The meal pictured above
  2. Microwavable quesadilla and a nectarine (morning snack)
  3. Banana bread protein pancakes
  4. Pumpkin oatmeal muffin with peanut butter (post-dinner snack)
  5. Italian sausage with fennel and a cup of strawberry banana Greek yogurt

Last five places I’ve traveled:

  1. Philadelphia, PA
  2. Chicago, IL
  3. Atlanta, GA
  4. Jekyll Island, GA
  5. London

Next five places I will go (outside of my hometown):

  1. My parents’ house
  2. Ryan’s mom’s house
  3. Orlando to visit my friend Laurel
  4. St. Pete, FL for our wedding anniversary
  5. Savannah, GA for the Rock ‘n’ Roll half marathon

Last five workouts:

  1. All may be seen on my workout log (Yes, I’m being lazy on this one)

Five things making me happy right now:

  1. Knowing I’ll be seeing my family on Friday night
  2. The Wicked station on Pandora, specifically the song “Don’t Rain On My Parade” (the Glee version)
  3. The potential of tonight’s dinner (I’m trying something that seriously intimidates me!)
  4. October 1 and the official start of holiday fun (in my mind, at least)
  5. Being sneaky (Hint: It’s Ryan’s birthday next week)

Question of the Afternoon

Now it’s your turn.

  • Name the last five places you traveled to visit
  • Name the next five places you will go (<– That one took some thinking for me!)

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

    Hi Julie!

Been a loyal “lurking” reader of your blog for probably about a year now. Love it! Quick question…what protein powder would you recommend? Finally finished up my MASSIVE container of the GNC brand but was looking for other recommendations. Thanks!!

PS: Julie, I know you didn’t ask, but I have some carrot advice for ya. Mine used to dry out too and I started cutting them up into sticks as soon as I brought them home and put them in a tupperware container filled halfway with water. Prevents drying, very convenient for snackage, and cold, wet carrots are the BEST kind!

Do you happen to know what houses look for in pledge classes when people rush? Fall rush is over but I guess I just want to get an idea of why some people got in and others didn’t even though they seem pretty much the same.

I hope the next 5 places we go to are all somewhere in the USA….I have no interest in going anywhere else at the moment. You really do live in such an amazing country!
