100 Degrees

June 14, 2010 by Julie 24 Comments

According to my car, it was 100 degrees outside when I drove home from work this afternoon.

Holy hotness!

Just walking from my car to our apartment made me feel overheated, so I knew a long walk with Sadie was out of the question.

Instead, I leashed her up for an early-evening romp at the dog park.

Playin' at the Park

All Smiles

Our time at the park was spent playing a billion rounds of fetch.

Sadie also enjoyed several dips in the lake to cool down.

Water Dawg

Pretty Girl

I think a long session at the dog park makes me hungrier than Sadie and I’m not even the one who sprints around like a mad woman.

Post-park, we came home and I got to work in the kitchen.

Dinner

Dinner came together in a flash thanks to a Morningstar Farms tomato and basil pizza veggie burger.

Pizza Burger

I served the burger on a whole wheat Pepperidge Farms deli flat with spinach and plum tomato slices.

Dinner is Served

Roasted cauliflower rounded out the meal.

Roasted Cauliflower

Roasted Cauliflower

Mah Burger

Veggies Burger 'n' Veggies

It was great post-park fuel! 🙂

Ryan is attending at a class this evening, so Sadie and I have plans to cuddle on the couch and watch The Bachelorette right now. I’m really looking forward to relaxin’ with the pup.

See ya in the morning!

I would seriously die if it was 100 degrees here. I sweat like a man. It would not be pretty.

Yep I love hundreds of miles away but it’s a scorcher in the midwest today (we also get humid so it’s a steam bath)! I also watch the bachelorette (is that silly or what) . Who are you pulling for?

I showed my mom these pictures of Sadie and I think she’s in love- and she’s not even a dog person! So adorable, I’m hoping it helps me convince her we need a new doggie 🙂 Enjoy your evening in!

It was 96 here in NC so I’m feelin the pain. I love hot weather, but when I walk outside and sweat instantly from the humidity, its not the best feeling in the world.. props to Sadie for apparently being unaffected 🙂

I’m so glad it wasn’t that hot here!! It has actually been really cold lately. Summer doesn’t want to start in Oregon yet, apparently!

Morning Star Rocks! I had their california turk’y burger for lunch yesterday. How can you beat a burger with avocado and tomatoes built right in?! Never tried the pizza burger, but will be on the lookout for sure.

Hope you have a great evening 🙂

It was ridiculously hot here, too. But I’m OK with that. I’d rather have it be 100 than 30.

I mean it’s like walking into a wall with this humidity! We got our pup a baby pool:) Seriously, welcome to summer.

I picked up Morningstar portobello, but will be on the lookout for the tomato and basil!

It hit 108 here yesterday! Crazy! I love it so much; I’ve been known to have goosebumps when its in the 90s, lol. I’m just worried about my bunny outside in the heat all day! I watched the tail end of the Bachelorette last night while waiting for the Last American Cowboy to come on. I don’t like the idea behind those kind of shows, but I have to admit its addicting!

seeing a hula hoop at the crack of dawn would have definitely been interesting. i actually have a hula hoop in the house. i’m pretty good, at least compared to the fiance 😉 i can for a long time, though i wouldn’t be able to walk very far while doing it. i hear people use hula hoops that are heavy, and it’s supposed to be a good work out. mine is just a fun kid one, because i’m a kid at heart 🙂
