Purse Scavenger Hunt

September 30, 2010 by Julie 74 Comments

First things first: Apparently when I provided links to subscribe to my blog via email, Google Reader or your Google homepage the other day, the links I put up were actually directed to my old WordPress blog.

I told you I’m not tech savvy!

Thank you to Michelle and Amber for bringing this to my attention. Here are the correct links that will, in fact, subscribe you to this blog:

  • If you want to subscribe to this blog via email, click here.
  • If you want to add this blog to your Google Reader, click here.

Sorry for my blonde moment! I told you I don’t dye my hair… 😉

Lunch

Now back to your regularly scheduled blogging!

Lunch today included a super-green lettuceless salad.

Lots o' Greens

In the mix was:

  • 1 large cucumber, sliced
  • 1 medium green pepper, sliced
  • Leftover roasted Brussels sprouts
  • Feta cheese
  • Balsamic vinegar + olive oil

On the side I enjoyed a crisp apple and a cup of Chobani strawberry banana Greek yogurt.

An Apple a Day

Yogi Yog

The Spread

I loved all the random flavors in this lunch!

Purse Scavenger Hunt

During my bridal shower last Sunday, one of the games my sister organized was a purse scavenger hunt. We quickly found out that many of us carry some pretty random things in our purses!

One of my friends actually had seven different kinds of lip gloss in her purse!

I thought it might be fun to do a little purse scavenger hunt on the ol’ blog today, but since you probably don’t want to go through a checklist of items, we’ll just keep it limited to this question:

What is the strangest thing you have in your purse today?

Mine is definitely the book Wedding Etiquette for Dummies. I checked it out from the library and it’s due back today, so I’ve been lugging it around all day!

I'm a Bag Lady

My second place item would have to be a pair of men’s socks. Don’t ask…

Now it’s your turn! Share away, my friends! 😀

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I don’t like to carry a purse, so there’s not much in mine. I would guess the strangest thing is a set of keys to my car – only because I have another set on my desk with me too. The set in my purse has the clicker on it in case my car acts up and I have to turn of the alarm. Random, but necessary since my car is old…

Also, I just found your blog yesterday – it is fantastic! 🙂

A Spoon! I literally always keep one in there so I can eat my delicious Chobani in my early morning classes.

Oh, and I guess my music-playing High School Musical key-chain may seem strange to more mature people… haha

I have my knitting needles and yarn. Decided the commute to and from work was a good way to get some knitting done. PS- Love the blog!!

I feel so lame! I don’t have anything exciting. I do, however, always have at least three different kinds of bars with me. You never know when you’re going to get hungry!

Nothing strange here – unless you count a ziplock baggie of vitamins and a random assortment of snacks like apples and bars! They used to play that at the end of some game show back in the 70s that’s now on TV again..I can’t remember the name but the things people have are ridiculous!!

That salad looks delicious!! I just bought some feta cheese tonight, and I have only had it once before, and totally disliked it, but….I’m open to giving it a second chance…lol, plus I bought flavored!

Hmmm, the strangest thing in my purse right now is probably a Prevention magazine, of course, I really don’t consider that strange 🙂

weirdest thing in my purse – shoes… well actually foldable flats! But my friends always make fun of me when I pull them out and switch up my footwear. They come in handy though!! I also carry toothbrush/paste/floor nail files etc… you never know when you’ll need something!

Hmmm probably the most random thing I have in my purse is a book of coupons from Harrah’s casino and a deck of playing cards from the Planet Hollywood casino. What can I say? LA is very close to Vegas, it’s an easy road trip for us!

other than the usual flora and fauna, i have half a turkey and hot pepper sub that i had left-over from lunch and needed to rescue it from the work fridge before heading home…and a candlestick that i made for one of my classes(yes, a candlestick, as in, “it was heather in the art studio with the candlestick”). life is weird.

We all have blonde moments. 🙂

Ok, this is literally all I have in my purse: my wallet, cell phone, gum, keys, extra hair tie/clip and a pen. I like to keep it simple!

Plus my purse is just barely big enough to carry them!

I have a huge purse and I always carry around WAY too much stuff with me. I went through my purse after you asked about this and I found: 3 nail polishes, 5 containers of hand sanitizers, my keys and my dads car keys(dont know how they got in my purse, woops), my TI-89 calculator, label maker, and tons of receipts!! 🙂

If that is a tan leather Michael Kors purse and Coach brown signature wallet we have the exact same purse and wallet. Weird!

I have a fun random purse story for you:

So, one evening I came home to visit my parents and my mother had bought me a little one egg frying pan to take to back to my place with me the next day. I popped it in my purse so I wouldn’t forget it and then went over to visit some friends. Later on, I went to go grab a sweater out of my bag and my friends started teasing me for always carrying around a huge purse with everything in it. At which point the frying pan came flying out with the sweater. They practically died laughing and insisted that they check to see if I didn’t have the kitchen sink in their too 🙂
