Throw on a Sundress

April 18, 2011 by Julie 33 Comments

Throw on a Sundress

  • Navy sundress: Express (You may also see this dress here.)
  • Necklace: Forever 21
  • Shoes: Forever 21
  • Headband: Goody (Taken from my mom’s drawer of hair things.)

I call this my “throw on a sundress and go to work” look… Aka: Be thankful I’m not wearing my pajamas today because it’s Monday and I don’t feel like putting much effort into my appearance.

I promise to wash my hair tomorrow. 🙂

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

    The effortless look works!

I need to work with you so I can come in with bare shoulders and jeans every day. FUN!

I really like your hair up. You don’t post pics like that too often. 🙂

I love it! I have a bunch of cute tank/spaghetti-strapped dresses I’ve been dying to wear but I haven’t because I wasn’t sure about our policy…I mean casual is one thing but I was a little hesitatnt about bare shoulders…I may have to pull up the courage and wear one in as it starts to get warmer and warmer!

Love it! I am a new reader – have you ever written about your office culture? I work in a casual office – jeans, sneakers, flip-flops, etc, but you still don’t see bare shoulders or tank tops. Do you think its an industry thing (not sure of your work industry) or a Florida thing? I am in DC and am super lucky to even wear jeans to work! Most DC offices are pretty stuffy 🙂

i think it’s a my company thing. 🙂 i’ve never seen any office environment this laid back before i started working here. i work for a big website and i think they’re so laid back b/c we never see anyone. tank tops are really common as are baseball hats for guys.

That’s awesome! I definitely love working in a casual environment. Makes getting ready for work so much easier…no pressure to dress up in business attire EVERY day.

        Thanks for the reply!

    Cute outfit!
Do you not wash your hair every day? I’ve heard it’s healthier for your hair to skip a few days every week, but I usually wash mine everyday anyway. Just curious!

How does that work in terms on working out everyday? I try to wash my hair every other day too but after a good work out my hair is nasty.

i wash it on the days where i do more intense cardio. when i just do strength training (like bodypump) i don’t really sweat too much and don’t really need to wash my hair.

Have you ever done a post about your office environment? I know you don’t want to say where you work, but I also would love to hear about an office culture that allows strapless. I am guessing everyone where you work is young and fun? Anyway, you are lucky!!

i work for a big website, so since we’re all never seen by anyone, our office attire is really, really laid back. i’m not lying when i say i’m usually one of the more dressed up ones here.

I’m SO jealous about the weather in Florida!! Here, in Canada it was SNOWING yesterday and today!!! In my mind, I’m SO ready to wear nice dresses and skirts, but when you look outside… NOOO way 😀

Absolutely love your dress. I am jealous of your work attire too…you look so cute. I almost always have to wear pants due to working with kids, but try to be creative with my tops!

Btw, I know you talk about not washing your hair…do you use a dry shampoo then in between, and if so, what kind?

Dry shamp works, I’m a fan I just wrote about it a lil. Tresemme is low priced and works best when putting it in before bed then brushing it in the am!

So cute! My place of work is really casual (I’ve shown up in sweatpants more times than I care to admit). Something about having to be able to get down on the floor with the kids makes me want to be super comfortable.
