Fun with Florida Swim Network

July 6, 2011 by Julie 53 Comments

This evening was a fun one!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with blog buddies Katy, Meghann and Bess to film a live webisode for the Florida Swim Network, a site dedicated to keeping up with all things swim-related in Florida.

webisode

The Florida Swim Network reached out to me, Katy and Meghann to take part in a “Fit Bloggers” websiode to discuss healthy living, exercise and training plans. SwimmerJoe interviewed all of us and I was a total goof on camera (which you may see here), but I had a great time chatting away with everyone.

I love bloggers. Smile

The webisode was really informal and relaxed and we ordered dinner at the Winter Park Shipyard Emporium while filming.

The hummus appetizer was a great way to begin a yummy meal!

I opted for a veggie pizza with goat cheese as my entrée and almost took the entire thing down. I felt like a garbage disposal chowing down on my pizza on camera as we were talking, but I was hungry!

The marinated veggies were delicious and the goat cheese was extra creamy. I love personal pizzas!

And now it’s time to join Sadie and Ryan in dreamland! Sleep well, friends!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Hi Julie! This isn’t related to your video, but I’m going to be college freshman next year and I’m considering rushing. Since you were in a sorority, do you have any tips for getting a feel for which is best for me? I love being social and dancing but I’m not much of a typical party girl, so I’m wondering if I’ll fit in in the greek world. Thanks!

i would definitely encourage you to be 100% yourself during rush. ask questions about what the girls in each chapter are into. you’ll be able to tell which houses are more into sports, academics, social activities, etc. i’d also reach out to people at the college you’re going to for advice. usually there are stereotypes associated with each sorority which, at least in my opinion, are typically EXAGGERATED versions of the truth. i had NO idea what to expect from rush and new NOTHING about the various chapters at my college when i showed up for recruitment and i actually think that’s not a bad way to go either. i picked a house based solely on my opinion of the girls and the overall feeling i had. i was very happy with my choice!

Loved the video! My boyfriend said, “what are you watching?” I said, “one of the bloggers that I follow is on this video…” and he cut me off to say, “the peanut butter one?” and I said, “how do you know?!” he said, “because you talk about it ALL the time.” lol.

p.s. your blog is the ONLY blog I read. Haven’t found another that has kept my attention. Thanks for the entertainment, inspiration, laughter, and smiles!

Loved the video! It’s nice to see you girls (I read Katy’s blog too) on video now and then. You looked perfectly cute eating, but I think it’s a little awkward to have to watch yourself eat on video – not something a person normally has to do! It’s like how when you hear your own voice recorded and it seems totally foreign… 🙂
