Rising Above Negativity: A Survey

August 6, 2011 by Julie 47 Comments

Egg patties.

That was the “main course” at the hotel’s breakfast buffets. I’m pretty sure the words egg and patty should never be used together.

Clearly I opted out of the main meal and made myself a bowl of peanut butter oats instead.

I love peanut butter oatmeal fills me up for hours!

I also had about half of a Belgian waffle, topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon and syrup.

I ate my breakfast while sipping on a hot mug of pomegranate green tea.

 Rising Above the Negativity Survey

As you may already know, in two weeks I will be attending the Healthy Living Summit in Philadelphia and will be speaking with three fellow bloggers – the wonderful Heather, Brittany and Courtney – all about Rising Above Negativity.

Our presentation will discuss the darker side of blogging: Negative comments, mean-spirited emails, snarky tweets and media backlash.

healthy living summit

We would love to have some statistical information collected from fellow bloggers to use in our presentation, so if you’re a blogger and wouldn’t mind taking this brief 10-question anonymous survey (it’s REALLY easy!), we would all be very, very grateful.

Here’s a link to the survey:

Again, THANK YOU for your participation! We all really appreciate it and can’t wait to use the results in a bangin’ presentation. Oh, boooy, now the pressure is ON! Open-mouthed smile

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I”ve microwaved eggwhites before and they end up looking like round patties…but I only eat them when I’VE made them. I don’t trust egg patty things from anywhere else. Gah.

I believe I used to be a fan of egg patties in the form of the infamous Egg McMuffin sandwich. Whenever my family would take a road trip, we’d get the green light to “indulge” in a Micky D’s morning meal. I shiver thinking about what I was putting into my body!

Peanut butter oatmeal is a much better way to start the day. 🙂 I’m off to take the survey…Looking forward to hearing you speak in two weeks!

Unfortunately I can’t help you out with the survey because I don’t have a blog…but I can’t believe anyone would write you mean comments/emails! Seriously, you come across on your blog as such a sweet and sensible person, where would meanies even pull their material from?

I have a confession…I make egg patties. haha. I’m not sure if that’s what was on the menu at your hotel, but I crack two eggs into my pyrex measuring cup, add cheese in the center and then microwave them for a minute and a half. When you slide it onto a plate, it looks kinda’ like a supersized version of what you’d get on an egg mcmuffin. Except with more awesome.

Do you think you’ll be able to post a transcript of your speech at the HLS? It would be really interesting to read what the 4 of you have to say on negative comments! I’m just a new blogger, but from what I’ve read on other blogs, some people can be really cruel. Those types of comments are very unnecessary in the blogger community, I think!
