Three Cups

December 22, 2011 by Julie 80 Comments

Remember that peppermint crème coffee I mentioned in my morning post?

I’m three cups in and feeling good.

coffee 007-1

Hence the overly enthusiastic smile.

Seriously though, peppermint crème coffee is so festively fun, I can’t get enough!

I also can’t seem to get enough of the homemade Christmas cookies that are beckoning to me from the dining room. After last night’s cookie attack, I’ve done a bit better with cookie portion control today and the grand total is currently at two.

One after breakfast and one peanut butter kiss cookie with lunch!

My afternoon cookie was enjoyed with leftover lasagna (I ate it cold – love cold lasagna!), a cup of Greek yogurt and two clementines.

coffee 003-1

All those layers make me happy.

My mid-morning dentist appointment went well and my permanent retainer is back to being permanent. It detached from one side a while ago and it feels good to have it in working order again.

I got my permanent bottom retainer once I finished my Invisalign treatment. I’ve actually received quite a few emails over the past two years about my experience with Invisalign and thought a Q&A post about it might be worthwhile to get it all out in the open. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away in the comments section of this post and I’ll work on the Q&A post for next week!

Now it’s off to Sarasota!

Ryan and I have a hot date tonight to see Straight No Chaser live!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I have Invisalign right now. I am wearing 11 out of 20-23 now. Did your tray get gross by the end of the time with the specific tray? MIne really does? What did you use to clean it. I already brush it ALL the time but it grosses me out?

I have a permanant bottom retainer as well! I find that it’s not super common. And I get stuff stuck in mine, so I am constantly flossing. It’s pretty annoying, but I guess that’s the price we pay for a pretty smile! My hot pink retainer for my top teeth helps too…can you say sexy? My fiance cracks up every night when I put it in.

I don’t think I’ve ever eaten lasagna cold! I might have to try that sometime! 🙂 Have fun in Sarasota! I’m jealous! 😉

I would LOVE to get invisalign if it wasn’t for the cost. I was looking into it but realized that insurance won’t cover it. So mad that I beggggged my dentist for braces when I was younger, but he said my teeth would straighten out on their own…never happened. bummer!

Dude, how are you looking in control of your bowels in that picture after THREE cups of coffee?! Bahaha. I just started drinking coffee and have one small cup most days, and the other day, I literally started SWEATING at my desk because I had to hold in my sudden urge while I was finishing prepping for a meeting. Then I totally acted all cool after the meeting until I got to the hallway (where the bathroom is) and RAN. Does this not happen to anyone else?!

Also, I used to grind my teeth when I was sleeping in my childhood, so I actually ground all of my teeth to the exact same length (like, straight across) as opposed to having any fangs (even canines). How strange is that??

(Btw, after Googling “canine teeth”, this is one of the pages that came up. Is Amy Winehouse not terrifying?!)

Oh my gosh, I have the opposite reaction w coffee! I think it’s because I used to work in a coffee shop and drank sooo much of it, but now often times one cup makes me extra tired! SO weird. I still drink it though bc I looove it.

That lasagna looks so delicious! Is it weird that I actually like eating lasagna cold the next day rather than hot? haha

I’m currently in the midst of my Invisalign treatment. I finished my trays, but my teeth weren’t quite straight, so I’m doing some additional trays. Just curious: Did you feel like your teeth were “perfect” when you were done?

Thanks so much for doing a Q & A post on this!

I actually did Invisalign but was unhappy with the results so switched over to clear braces…looking forward to reading your post on it, especially as your teeth look great!

Permanent retainer? Like always in you can’t take out? Oh and I was wondering with all that coffee how do you keep your teeth so white? I drink loads and can’t seem to keep them white. Thanks merry Christmas!

Were your teeth fairly crooked before Invisalign? It’s something I’m really interested in because I’m not trying to rock braces as a junior in college, but I think my teeth might be too crowded for invisalign? I’ve only even seen people use it for minor straightening.

3 cups of coffee?! Good grief, I couldn’t sleep for 3 days…Ha! I’m so sensitive to caffeine it’s ridiculous! Have a safe road trip 🙂

Peppermint coffee sounds so good. Maybe I’ll add a tea bag to my next cappuccino.

I’d love to get invisalign for my bottom row teeth. The top row is perfectly straight but one tooth on the bottom is set back a little. It drives me crazy. I don’t have to get my bottom wisdom teeth removed but I’m afraid if I get invisalign they will need to come out!
