24 Minute Boot Camp Workout

November 6, 2013 by Julie 55 Comments

Hello my wonderful friends!

This morning I taught a boot camp class at the gym that had people jumping all over the place and working up a sweat.

24 Minute Boot Camp Workout

Links to video demonstrations of some of the exercises:

  • Bosu Burpees
  • Shoulder Ts
  • Around the World Lunges
  • Toe Touch Crunches

I initially planned for the class to run through the workout two times for a 48-minute workout, but we had to cut things short to have time to cool down and stretch before another instructor needed the sound system. I can’t wait to run through this one myself soon!

Lunch

After working through the morning, I came home for a quick lunch.

I quickly downed a green smoothie while I prepped my main meal.

DSC_0059

On the stovetop, I sautéed chicken sausage and spinach in olive oil while I heated up some frozen vegetables in the microwave. I then combined everything together for one heck of a delicious lunch!

Yum!

Hope you’re having a fantastic Wednesday!

Question of the Afternoon

  • What was the last group exercise class you attended?

Spinning on Monday!

Julie, do you get the tunic in tall or is it long enough in a regular length? Did you find that it shrinks at all? Fit TTS?

I think it’s long enough at the regular length. And it hasn’t shrunk at all for me, but I don’t put it in the dryer. I LOVE IT!

I put mine in the dryer and it never shrunk. I bought it last year in that weird pink/purple color. Just ordered it in gray- thanks for sharing. I LOVE that top!

I LOVE your workouts, but it’s hard for me to stick to something if I’m on my own in the weight room… So I stick to classes like spin and hot yoga- I need to branch out to some body pump or something!

Hi Julie! I know this is sort of off topic, but for your Dad’s 60th birthday gift, did you get all of the supplies at Hobby Lobby? I’m doing the same for my friend’s 30th. Let me know!

The last group exercise class I attended was a Yoga class, and before then a boot camp class. A little different classes, but there’s a time and place for both, right?

I love this workout! I can’t wait to try it! My husband and I haven’t been able to find an affordable gym since we moved, so the last class I went to was probably back in May. It’s been way too long, and I miss group fitness classes so much!

My Y dropped Les Mills in favor of BTS so I visited another in our area last night for BodyStep Athletic and cx-works. It was like a throwback to the good ‘ol days… 🙂

Also, can you explain this workout? Are you doing each activity in 1 for 45 seconds before moving on to 2? Or the first of 1, the first of 2, the first of 3,…etc. and then the second of 1, the second of 2, the second of 3, etc.?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the awesome workout. I want to do it tomorrow morning. It sounds very intense and challenging in a good way. 😉

I was wondering if you might know the answer to a question I have regarding the Nike app you have been using. It looks like a fabulous app, and I am very interested in the workouts since you love them so much.

Do you know if I can download the app onto my computer? I don’t have an iphone, or android, or anything like that. I just have a simple Tracfone, so I’m not able to get all those cool apps on there. I would love to get the app on my computer if that is possible.
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer. 🙂

Have a lovely night and may God bless you always!
