Strawberries and Chocolate Chips

May 7, 2014 by Julie 28 Comments

Thanks to all of your comments on my morning blog post about the best comedians out there, all I want to do when I get home from work is park my butt on the couch with Ryan and Sadie and look into some of the stand up routines you suggested. Thank you!

Workout

Today’s workout took place in the late morning in between work. I took my favorite boot camp class (which I will actually be teaching next week) and left sufficiently sweaty.

Some super sweaty boot camp workouts to try:

  • Collection of Boot Camp Workouts
  • Boot Camp Workout with Three-Minute Stations
  • 60-Minute Boot Camp Workout
  • 25-Minute Boot Camp Workout

Lunch

Lunch today was enjoyed in the break room where I ate the lunch I packed (and photographed) last night while I chatting away on a conference call.

Almond butter and jelly with cucumber slices

I dug into an almond butter and jelly sandwich topped with slivered almonds on a whole wheat hamburger bun. I paired my sandwich with cucumber slices and fresh strawberries with a sprinkling of dark chocolate chips.

Strawberries and Chocolate Chips

It was a no-fuss lunch that satisfied my hunger in no time. (The strawberries and chocolate chips stole the show!)

I’m blogging and dashing today because I have to get back to work. Hoping your Wednesday is a good one!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I had some delicious strawberries for lunch too. No chocolate chips, but that would have been a great addition!

Yummmmmm. This lunch has all my favorites. PB&J never gets old for me and strawberries with chocolate chips idea is GENIUS. I think I’ll be having this one very soon.

Those berries look amazing! So excited that it’s getting to be summer time so the berries are starting to be in season! Can’t get enough of them!

Have you ever drizzled coconut oil over your strawberries? So good! I bet a drizzle of coconut oil and melted chocolate would be the BEST!

Question-would you ever consider doing a food haul/shopping post? You eat so healthy and would love to see what a weekly shopping trip is for you!

    Thanks!!

I love that you take the time to set up your food on your plate – even if you are insanely busy (I realize how silly this sounds as I’m typing it but it’s true!)

I feel like my job keeps me moving from one place to another, meeting with one kid and then another, so I just shove food in my face and don’t take the time to really enjoy a meal!

That looks like a colorful lunch to bring on-the-go. Slivered almonds on top of almond butter is a great way to kick up a PB&J. Love it.

Your lunch looks delish! This morning I topped my oatmeal with an almond butter that also has chia seeds and seasame seeds in it. It’s so good.

Unrelated to this post, BUT I just decided to dive in and get my NASM-CPT and remembered a previous blog you wrote. Found it AND found Michael who did a great job answering my questions and getting me a 10% discount! (https://www.pbfingers.com/about-2/all-about-nasm/) Thanks for the information and for providing Michael’s info!
