Buying Duplicates

June 23, 2014 by Julie 50 Comments

You’ll never guess what I did for my workout today.

BodyPump

BodyPump! I am so happy this class is back in my life. (I promise I’ll try not to gush over how thrilled I am to have access to this class again every time I take it, but for now I just can’t help it. Heck yes!)

After scouting out a nearby gym that offers BodyPump this morning, I downloaded a free three-day pass and headed out to take the class after publishing my morning blog post. The class went well and the instructor took us through the new July release. It felt good to work up a sweat and I am already planning to return for another class later this week.

After BodyPump, I had a few errands to run and picked up a few things from Target and TJMaxx.

One thing I did not buy? This snazzy little number.

Floral BodySuit

Let me know if you want me to go back and pick it up for you. It was on clearance for only $5. (I can’t imagine why.)

I also stumbled upon a mug I would have immediately purchased if it said “Crazy Dog Lady.” I would wear that label with pride.

Crazy Cat Lady Mug

At Target, I bought wrapping paper, scissors and tape, all of which I forgot to bring with me when I left Ocala. (My sister’s birthday is on Thursday and I needed to wrap her gifts before mailing them to her house.) I wonder how many duplicate purchases we’ll end up making during our time in temp housing?

The wrapping paper I ended up buying from Target was super cute though, so that’s a good thing. If I’m going to buy extras of things we already have, I’ll try to buy inexpensive stuff that’s fun!

mint lace wrapping paper

I love it. It looks like a mint lace design which is right up Leslie’s alley. We’re both big-time suckers for anything lace (even wrapping paper, apparently).

Once my errands were done, I was pretty darn hungry and picked up some grab-and-go sushi for lunch.

Rainbow Roll Sushi

I’m convinced I could eat sushi every day and never get sick of it. So delicious!

Now that I’m back at home, I plan to spend the rest of the day working on the computer. Ryan and I are hoping to take Sadie for a long walk tonight if the weather holds up!

Hope you’re having a great Monday!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’m not exactly sure what a Body Pump class would be like, but it’s on my list of “to-do’s” – along with Barre, it’s so amped up, but I have no clue what to expect! I love that wrapping paper! I justify a duplicate purchase by knowing that I’ll still use it all at some point – it’s just going to last me longer! Maybe that’ll ease your mind! 😉 I love the ease of picking up sushi to-go! So yum!!

Raw salmon is just the best! We don’t do hot smoked salmon here but cold smoked is a staple..at least in my diet!

I love body pump classes but don’t take them as much as I’d like because they always throw me off for the next day. Since they work the whole body how do you handle your workouts the day before and after, so your muscles can rest?

Maybe that bodysuit is $5 because it has been there since 1991, when they were in fashion. I hope that is one trend that does NOT combe back! EEK!

I also have a question about what your workouts look like before and after body pump since they work the whole body… I take a class called BodyWorks and I LOVE it but it’s always hard to get a good workout in the next day… how often do you take Bodypump(or will you take now that it’s back in your life)?

Pump is one of my favorite classes! Have you ever done Body Attack? If not, you need to add that to your list of classes to try. It’s my all time fave. 🙂
Oh sushi, how it miss you. I could eat it everyday too! That is my first request after I deliver this baby in December.
Hope your weather holds out. It has been gloomy and on off drizzles in Charleston today.

Can I just be the first to say that wearing leotards are wonderful paired under skirts? They never ride up like normal shirts when tucked in. They’re also amazingly slimming. I own a black 3/4 sleeve leotard that’s perfect with pencil skirts for work, I never have to readjust myself when getting up from my desk. Just thought I’d throw that out there in case you’re willing to give it a try.

I wear them with high waisted shorts and skirts and jeans for the same reason you mentioned — no riding up and they are so slimming!

Julie, let me tell you a story.. I’m currently living in temporary housing while we await the build of our new house to be finished. More than half our stuff is in storage.. and on our first night in the temporary housing- I was looking around at all the boxes and I thought “um, where are my clothes?.. where is my huge box of clothes?”.. they ended up on the POD! The wrong box of clothes ended up with me. Nothing screams summer like cords, sweaters and flip flops 🙂 lol!
