Aspaeris Pivot Compression Shorts Giveaway

February 25, 2012 by Julie 1,073 Comments

After I blogged about the soreness I experienced following the Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon, a wonderful woman (and amazing athlete!) who works with my dad and reads my blog reached out to me about the benefits of compression clothing.

She swore by compression gear as a means to increase oxygen blood flow to the muscles, helping them to recover faster.

After wearing compression sleeves over my calves following the Women’s Half Marathon later that month, I was a believer. I wasn’t sore and loved the snug fit of the sleeves.

I knew then that I wanted to try out compression shorts since my hamstrings and quads are often sore after long runs.

Thanks to the kind people at Aspaeris, I was able to try out the Aspaeris Pivot compression shorts and my belief in the benefits of compression clothing was further solidified.

The Aspaeris compression shorts are tight and thick, but comfortable. They don’t dig into my skin. They are snug, but don’t make me feel strangled.

According to Aspaeris, the shorts “offer a unique two-layer design. The top layer supports your muscles while the bottom layer guides you into position. Breakthrough, patent-pending compression bands are cross-knit into the fabric that creates muscle memory to help prevent ACL injury and improve your performance.”

Snug as a bug in a rug. Smile

The shorts come in a variety of colors including black, white, red and navy blue.

And now YOU have a chance to win a pair of Aspaeris Pivot compression shorts!

I’m hoping to run a half marathon soon – maybe in May, or I may wait till the fall! I was scheduled to run my first this past October, but a sprained ankle sidelined me for a while.

    those shorts look AMAZING!

My greatest athletic achievement was when I played soccer.. I could run forever! 10 miles was nothing to me! But now, I have trouble even running 2-3 miles! I am running a 10 mile race in Toronto in May therefore I am about to start training soon and can’t wait to be able to reach my goal again 🙂

By far one of my greatest accomplishments was running my first marathon in 2010. Life got SO in the way and I barely trained, but I gutted that thing out and was bawling after I finished- it was such an exhausting, emotional experience! Now, I’m beginning to make a REAL training plan to run my second full this year- we’ll see how I do when I actually put the training work in!
