Aspaeris Pivot Compression Shorts Giveaway

February 25, 2012 by Julie 1,073 Comments

After I blogged about the soreness I experienced following the Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon, a wonderful woman (and amazing athlete!) who works with my dad and reads my blog reached out to me about the benefits of compression clothing.

She swore by compression gear as a means to increase oxygen blood flow to the muscles, helping them to recover faster.

After wearing compression sleeves over my calves following the Women’s Half Marathon later that month, I was a believer. I wasn’t sore and loved the snug fit of the sleeves.

I knew then that I wanted to try out compression shorts since my hamstrings and quads are often sore after long runs.

Thanks to the kind people at Aspaeris, I was able to try out the Aspaeris Pivot compression shorts and my belief in the benefits of compression clothing was further solidified.

The Aspaeris compression shorts are tight and thick, but comfortable. They don’t dig into my skin. They are snug, but don’t make me feel strangled.

According to Aspaeris, the shorts “offer a unique two-layer design. The top layer supports your muscles while the bottom layer guides you into position. Breakthrough, patent-pending compression bands are cross-knit into the fabric that creates muscle memory to help prevent ACL injury and improve your performance.”

Snug as a bug in a rug. Smile

The shorts come in a variety of colors including black, white, red and navy blue.

And now YOU have a chance to win a pair of Aspaeris Pivot compression shorts!

I’m running my very first half marathon next month! I’m super nervous but I’ve been trying to stay really dedicated to my training, and I’ve been doing negative splits so far. And I’m up to nine miles on my long runs! That’s farther than I ever thought I’d be able to run, so I’m really proud just of how far I’ve come already. 🙂

Greatest accomplishment was definitely in my senior year swimming and my final race. I put so much pressure on myself in the previous events about pace and times, that I said for this one, to just go all out and forget about any regrets. I dropped more time than i ever imagined and it was an awesome way to end my college swimming career!

I’m hoping to break the 100-minute mark for my half-marathon on the 17th of March! I’ve trained harder than I ever have before and I can’t wait to get out there on race day and put all the work to use 🙂

My ultimate goal would be to run in the NYC marathon, but since I have a while to get there, my small easier goals would be to run a 5k, 10k, then a few half-marathons! These shorts look so awesome and since my quads and hamstrings usually are sore after a run, I’d really love to try them!

    Hi Julie,
Running makes me feel stronger, improves my confidence, and reinforces that my most important relationship is always going to be with myself. Running benefits nobody but the runner and demonstrates positive affirmation on a day to day basis.

I have been continuously running for quite a few years, but never challenged myself in a race. My goal is to run the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in Vancouver, BC, and I want to kick some serious butt!

My proudest athletic accomplishment was placing in State Championships for Swimming for three of my four years in high school. I was working so hard, swimming twice a day, five times a week, and the feeling of accomplishment after swimming my heart out in a sleek, Olympic size pool in an intensive, close race gave me such a high! I don’t swim as much as I used to, but I’ll never forget those extremely proud moments I had in high school.
