Back in Action

April 5, 2010 by Julie 22 Comments

My cake coma finally wore off before bed last night and I slept like a baby. I only woke up once in the night (in quite the romantic embrace with Sadie), and was ready for a good workout when the alarm went off. Workout Ryan and I headed to the gym and I took my…

Cake Coma

April 4, 2010 by Julie 20 Comments

Remember that bunny cake I made to bring to Ryan’s family’s Easter lunch?   Well that little sucker put me over the edge after a day of eating (and eating!) and I am now in a cake coma.   My tummy is suuuuper full of cake, pie, salmon, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, pineapple soufflé and more. I am 24-years-old and I still get an Easter basket. I am 24-years-old and I still enjoy making and decorating Easter bunny cakes. 😀 Do you still get an Easter basket? After a homecooked dinner of beef tenderloin, broccoli and sweet potato casserole, and a nice evening boat ride with the family, my mom, sister and…

Confused Barista

April 2, 2010 by Julie 25 Comments

Today I thoroughly perplexed a Starbucks barista boy. I drove through the Starbucks drive through and requested a chocolate chip cookie. “Would you like something to drink?” “Nope, just a cookie would be great.” “So you already had your coffee today then, huh?” “Nope. I’m just in the mood for something sweet.” “Hmm. Soooo you…
