Beware of the Kitty Chow

April 11, 2011 by Julie 66 Comments

Break room bystanders beware!

Tuna Salad

Kitty chow Tuna salad for lunch! Hide your noses!

Today’s lunch included a tuna salad wrap that I made my combining the following:

  • 1 can chunk light tuna (packed in water)
  • 1 tbsp. light Miracle Whip
  • 1 tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 medium carrot stick, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped

Lunchtime!

Roasted cauliflower, carrot sticks and a a cup of Greek yogurt with honey served as my sides.

Roasted Cauliflower

Stay tuned for a video post including a tutorial on how I like to roast my veggies like the above cauliflower! True I haven’t made it yet, but I hope to coerce Ryan into being my cameraman after work one day this week.

Past video posts include:

  • Rutabaga fries tutorial
  • Ryan’s awesome shoulder move (Ryan’s video debut!)
  • Goat cheese + honey dip demo
  • How to cut open a pomegranate
  • How to curl your hair with a straightener

If you have any video post requests, please feel free to let me know in the comments section! I’m a one-trick pony with my videos (meaning I always film them in one shot without really thinking or planning), so ya never really know what you’re gonna get. They always turn out totally awkward… but that’s half the fun!

It’s  a treat! 😉

I think you should be able to eat whatever you want for lunch at work. I DESPISE the smell of cheese (can’t even walk down a cheese aisle without gagging), but if I asked everyone not to bring that to work they’d probably fire me! Can’t wait to see the video!

it reminds me of tuna salad but made with chickpeas! I know it’s not tuna but you may like it!

I remember when I was younger and anytime someone brought tuna for lunch, they were forced to sit FAR away from everyone else. Hahaha! Oh those were the days. 😉

I really wish I liked tuna because you actually make it look good in that picture. I am not a fish person at all, but I wish I was since it is so good for you.
Roasted cauliflower is my favorite roasted veggie! Excited to see the video!

Roasted cauliflower is my favorite! I could eat it by the head (…and I definitely have!).

I’m definitely interested to see your method. I just sort of stumbled into my preparation, but maybe there is a better way to do it!

So funny, every time I go to the grocery store I make it a point to try something “new”, and I picked up a Rutabaga having no idea how to cook it. I usually take the item home, research it and give it a try – what a coincedence I came to your blog today to see you have a Rutabaga Fries tutorial (esp because I learned that they cook it like a Potato in countries like Sweden! – so I had planned on making fries out of it!!). Score!

I’ll be making the Rutabaga fries tonight!! date night!! =) hope we like them!
