Chipurros

March 4, 2011 by Julie 51 Comments

Not only is today FRIDAY, but I also got to spend my brief lunch break with this handsome fella.

Burrito Boy

Today was one of the every other Fridays that Ryan has off from work, so he swung by my office to pick me up for a hot lunch date at Chipotle!

Chipotle

We had a buy-one-get-one-free coupon that was about to expire (you can still get one here!) and were both cravin’ Mexican food.

Ryan ordered a burrito while I opted for a burrito bowl with fajita vegetables, beans and extra salsa.

Burrito Bowl

Salsa Makes Me Smile

The beans and veggies were trapped under the mound of salsa! Just the way I like it. The more salsa the better.

I also helped Ryan with his burrito because I’m so kind.

No Bite Left Behind

As I am typing this post, I have a new lil’ business idea for Chipotle. Sell some churros!

Everyone loves churros and I was craving something sweet after my burrito bowl and would’ve gladly purchased one… or five. You can call them Chipurros or something clever. Oh, and feel free to give me 5 percent of the profits you make off Chipurros for giving you this bazillion dollar idea. Yes?

Back to work I goooo. I’m so ready for the weekend and some fun plans tonight. 😀

P.S. To those of you who commented on my dress this morning, the Fashion page is updated with all the details!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Whenever I go to Chipotle I always say to myself that the burritos are so large that they look like footballs and/or small babies. But they’re so good! Your lunch date seems like the perfect way to gear up for the weekend!

Do you know that I have never been to Chipotle?!? My husband thinks this is a tragedy, but we don’t have any around here! We are heading to DC next weekend and I am convinced there has to be one there, so we are GOING to go!

We’re going to Chipotle tonight to use our BOGO coupon. I’m not gonna lie – I’ve been looking forward to it for two days.

And I’m glad to see you can mix and match the BOGO. My husband also does the burrito and I get the bowl.

    Happy Friday!

thank you for your concern and for stating this comment in a genuine way. i appreciate it! i had beans + veggies, salad and salsa which, as you said, it probably fairly low in calories (maybe 300 b/c i had both beans?) but i actually went to lunch not very hungry since we had “foodie friday” at work and i ate my fair share of baked goods beforehand (and i prefer the mini-meals style of eating – 5 -6 mini meals a day). i can 100% promise you i wasn’t hungry! i don’t post everything i eat on the blog and i can definitely see how this lunch may have appeared smaller than a typical lunch should be. thanks for your genuine concern and i hope i alleviated some of your worries! i’m not one to intentionally restrict my food and if i’m hungry i eat!

I was curious about this and checked out their website for their nutritional information. How did you come at this 160 number? The calories for just the beans is more than 160…
