Chuck It

October 13, 2011 by Julie 60 Comments

With Ryan out golfing, tonight was all about puppy playtime with Sadie!

Sadie had a blast in our backyard. I threw her ball after ball using the Chuck It and she ran her little heart out.

(I think I have a new favorite picture of Sadie!)

Dog owners, if your dog loves to play fetch and you haven’t bought a Chuck It yet, I highly recommend investing in one.

chuck it

It makes balls go 5,000 times farther (scientific number) and helps keep your shoulder in its socket. All good things.

Plus it helps take dogs from this…

vizsla 008

To this…

better than christmas

Rest assured, she’ll be acting crazy again in less than 15 minutes. In fact, she’s giving me a guilt trip for being on the computer already by simply sitting and staring at me.

It’s oddly effective.

Dinner

Dinner came together in a flash thanks to a container of secret sauce I took out of the freezer and reheated.

I boiled some pasta, using the same itty bitty noodles that I used in the chicken soup we had a couple weeks ago.

ditalini

I topped the pasta with a generous serving of the secret sauce that included a couple of meatballs and some Italian sausage.

I will forever prefer red sauce over white sauce when it comes to pasta. It’s so darn good.

I just got a call that Ryan is on his way home, which means I don’t have too much time to cram in the show I have queued up on our DVR (um, the Kardashian wedding).

See ya in the morning!

P.S. American Wife is spanking the other two books in the poll for the next PBF Book Club book. Rest assured I will be reading Unbroken even if it’s not the top pick!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Ooh, that face looks too hard to resist! Sadie is so cute. 🙂

I am all about the red sauce over pasta too. Unless there’s broccoli and chicken with the pasta. To me, that just has to have a garlic/butter sauce.

Sadie is ADORABLE!! It makes me miss my Sadie that much more and want to venture out to the animal shelter and purchase a dog ASAP!

I think I know who nominated “American Wife” 😉 And I did so because I’ve only heard great things about it, so hopefully it can live up to expectations! “Unbroken” also sounds like a must read. Perhaps for the next Book Club you just state that “Unbroken” is the book of the month?! 🙂

Have fun watching the Kardashian wedding! So beautiful but kind of sad. I hate to say it but Kris seems like a jerk. :/

I hang my head in shame for watching Kim’s wedding multiple times already.

Unfortunately, our dogs tire of fetch pretty quickly and I end up walking after the ball. So I don’t want it to go too far. But it you have any recommendations for tug toys and games, I am all ears!

    Have a great night!

Hi! So this is unrelated to this post, but I was wondering what kind of protein powder you use? I’ve been lusting after some of your smoothies (especially the chocolatey ones) but I was blenderless until today. It’s my birthday and my super sweet boyfriend got me one! So now I’m going through all your smoothie recipes, and I see you always use protein powder, but you never really specify what kind. What do you suggest?

Can we please discuss the Kardashian wedding? Khloe and Lamar got married in 9 days and I think they have a better chance then these 2. You could totally tell they don’t know much about each other, he comes off a little rude and doesn’t seem like he can handle how high maintenance she is. Sounds like a recipe for a winning marriage!
