Decompress

November 1, 2010 by Julie 86 Comments

We’re not on our honeymoon just yet!

When booking our trip to St. Lucia, Ryan and I decided not to leave until Friday to give us a couple of days to decompress after a whirlwind wedding. I am so glad we opted to do this because I would’ve been seriously overwhelmed trying to pack and get ready for a vacation this weekend.

This also means we are back at work today! Phew!

We’re feeling pretty exhausted, but we’re also riding the wedding high after such a wonderful weekend.

Our pastor was kind enough to send us some pictures of our big day which were fun to look through. Here are a couple of sneak peaks from our pastor’s pictures until I get our photographer’s pictures to share with you.

My Dad Walking Me Down the Aisle

My dad and I were pretty emotional. Like father, like daughter.

During the Ceremony

(Side note: For anyone getting married in the St. Pete/ Tampa area, our pastor, Rev. Dean Ryder was absolutely amazing. He and his wife, Donna, were so loving and kind and made our ceremony so special.)

I also have a few more pictured to share from my camera:

Me and My Bridesmaids

My Parents, Me, Ryan and My Sister

It feels kind of funny to be back to normalcy today. I still feel like the wedding should be taking precedence over everything.

Workout

Today began with a workout! Since the last time I worked out was Thursday, I was happy to get in the gym this morning. I definitely felt a little weak during BodyPump.

After sweatin’ it out, I took Sadie on a quick walk. She was pretty tired after all of the attention she received at yesterday’s post-wedding brunch at my parent’s house. She was asleep again by the time I got out of the shower!

Breakfast

Today’s breakfast was a healthified Egg McMuffin, prepared on a whole wheat English muffin with Morningstar Farms veggie bacon, a wedge of Laughing Cow light original Swiss cheese and an egg white.

Open Faced

Veggie Bacon

YUM!

Now I’m off to catch up on work! 😀

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Congrats again!!! You and Ryan look wonderful and so happy! Smart move one waiting a week for your honeymoon… We went the Monday right after our wedding… I ended up spending a day in the room because I was so exhausted/almost sick from finally winding down. Enjoy your first week as a Mrs.!!!

Oh Julie you just look beautiful! I can’t wait to see the photographers pictures!

What do you think about the Morningstar Farms Veggie Bacon? I’ve been wanting to try it for a while now but have been a little stand-offish towards it. Maybe I’ll pick it up at the grocery store this week!
