Extra Antsy

April 21, 2011 by Julie 68 Comments

Gosh, I am so ready for the weekend. Something about an upcoming holiday makes me feel extra antsy at work… Or maybe it’s the buttload of work I have to do? Either way, I’m ready for Friday at 5 p.m.!

After crusin’ through my morning to-do list, I broke for a lunch that included a big salad topped with the same kind of veggie burger I tried and loved yesterday, along with chopped carrot and celery slices.

Big Ol' Salad

All dressed up in an Asian sesame dressing (added after the picture was snapped)!

Though I’m generally the kind of girl who will pick a sandwich over a salad, there’s something wonderful about the way I feel after I eat a ginormous veggie-packed salad.

I ride the veggie high all day long afterward!

I also sipped on a tumbler of hot tea at lunch.

Tea for Me

I used a tea bag from my own stash, but tomorrow I’ll be sippin’ on some tea from Starbucks… for FREE!

Have you heard that Starbucks is offering free coffee or tea to anyone who brings in a reusable tumbler tomorrow in honor of Earth Day? I’m so there!

Question of the Afternoon

  • Do you prefer coffee or tea? Or neither? What is your favorite hot beverage to order?

I like both coffee and tea, though hot chocolate will always be my favorite hot beverage. Extra whipped cream, please. 😉

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Yum – I love hot green tea, but my new favorite drink is Starbuck’s grande skinny vanilla latte. Fabulous!

Your tumbler is super cute & girly! Love it! 🙂

I’m definitely a coffee girl. Tea just doesn’t it cut it for me. The one exception may be chai tea. That stuff is so tasty!!

I am a total coffee drinker! I will occasionally drink tea but if I have the choice, I will most definitely pick coffee! I love getting a soy misto with sugar-free vanilla syrup from Starbucks! That is my favorite hot drink 🙂

I’m a coffee and tea drinker – it just depends on the time of day or the season!

Haaaa i LOVE that you said you drink hot chocolate!! I also drink hot chocolate year round, and just bought a new box the other week! Ryan thinks I’m crazy for it, but i find it so satisfying! But as for coffee or tea… i prefer tea, for sure. Coffee tends to really dehydrate me and upset my stomach. Bleh!

Oh man, tea fo’ sho’. I can’t do coffee. I’ve tried, but blech. I hate the grittiness of coffee. I’ve managed to down a mocha or two in my day, but I’ve never found a drink that manages to cover up the coffee ick enough. I’ll stick to coffee flavored things–coffee ice cream, anyone?!

I used to be a hot chocolate person all the way, but I just can’t justify paying extra to drink more sugar and calories when I can get one of the cheapest things on the menu (tea) with 0 everything. Alas, the troubles of being a poor college student 😉

I love tea, mainly pumpkin spice tea, but I think I’m more of an espresso girl. I love me some lattes! But I’m cutting waaaay back because they’re too expensive for more than twice a week. So tea it is! 😀

Had you asked this about 6 months ago, I’d have said coffee by a long shot. But since November, I’ve actually managed to not drink it!! I replaced my morning coffee with PhytoBerry, an antioxidant supplement by Progressive Nutrition that I blogged about a while back. It’s packed with antioxidants and is really energizing, so I don’t even feel the need for a morning cup of coffee to get me started now. I’ll drink tea – probably about 2 per day, but it’s usually the decaf herbal kind. I can’t resist Vanilla Rooibos at Starbucks!
