Fainting Goats and Talking Dogs

July 22, 2010 by Julie 43 Comments

Have you seen this video of the fainting goats?

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we9_CdNPuJg]

Insane! I love watching random animal videos on YouTube. My sister and I will spend inordinate amounts of time watching “talking” dog videos.

This one is my all-time favorite “talking” dog video:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx1We6GX4IM]

“I want my mamaaaa!”

Sadie says this all the time… But she follows it up with “Now go get me some chicken strips, woman.” 😉

You may be thinking, “Okay, Julie… why are you posting videos about goats and talking dogs?”

Well, my lunch included goat cheese and that’s the direction my brain went. Quite the tangent, huh?

Let’s get back to my goat cheese-filled lunch, shall we?

Lunch

Lunch today was deeeelish.

I enjoyed a goat cheese and avocado bagelwich on a sweet wheat Alternative Bagel with fresh spinach.

Goat Cheeeeeeese

I am seriously in love with the Chavrie goat cheese I used on this bagelwich. It’s spreadable, creamy, mild and flippin’ delicious.

For some additional color and crunch, I also included a sliced red pepper and carrot sticks on the side.

The Whole Shebang

Eat Me!

Chomp, chomp, chomp.

Calling All Animal Lovers

Feel free to post a link to your favorite animal videos below. Funny, cute, whatever! I love ’em all.

(Or if you don’t want to post an animal-loving link, feel free to tell me how much you love goat cheese. That entertains me, too. 😉 )

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

    Regarding goat cheese, if you ever run across Humboldt Fog, buy it. It’s the best goat cheese in all the land.

          That video is so sad.. the poor dog! I found an update on the dog below – he is ok….;

          A deaf and partially blind British Columbia dog never knew what hit him.

          In a viral YouTube video that undermines the soft and fuzzy image of Bambi, the 14-year-old border collie from Cranbrook, B.C., took a violent thrashing from a mother deer protecting her fawn.

          The two-minute video has been seen by about 1.2 million viewers.

          Star, out for an off-leash stroll with his owner, was attacked by the deer. The deer stomped Star about eight times.

          Star was treated by a veterinarian and seems to have recovered.

    I haven’t looked at all the videos yet, so someone may have posted these already, but I figured I would post them just to be safe because they are HILARIOUS. The BBC did a whole series of them, you can find more on youtube.

    A friend of mine does assemblies all over the country with exotic/rare/interesting animals. She has a porcupine, a baby baboon, a serval, a falcon, a lion and a fainting goat (among others). But the lion once scared the poor goat so bad it had a heart attack when it fainted…. 🙁 Sad.
