Food Poisoning

October 28, 2010 by Julie 114 Comments

Wanna know how to make a bride extremely nervous two days before her wedding day?

Give her a bout of food poisoning that makes her puke all day long.

I’m really not sure what is going on with my stomach today, but I have been throwing up since 10 a.m. šŸ™ I seriously never get sick *knock on wood* and all of my symptoms point to food poisoning.

I blame all of the peanut butter cookie dough from last night. As I mentioned in my evening post yesterday, I ate a ton of dough. There were raw eggs in the dough, which doesn’t bode well.

Fortunately I am feeling a tiny bit better now. I feel okay enough to work on the computer a bit and bust out some emails to wedding vendors, but whenever I stand up or think about food, I feel instantly nauseous.

I wanted to pop in really quick to give you guys an update. Hopefully I’ll feel like myself later tonight because I have three of my best girlfriends spending the night with me at my parent’s house. I have really been looking forward to a fun night of girl time so my finger’s are crossed for the return of healthy Julie!

I hope you guys are doing well… and remember, say no to dough (at least the kind with raw eggs in it!). šŸ˜‰

Oh no! Just to be safe wait to eat until you truly feel hungry and stick to the BRAT diet. That’s bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. That’ll give your tummy a chance to heal. You don’t wanna know how I know so much abou food poisoning. You’ll pull through just in time!

oh no!!! Hope you feel better soon… My husband had food poisoning a little while back. The doctor recommended yogurt (if you feel like eating it) and immodium. The active cultures help get your stomach back to normal.

yikes! hope you feel better soon! I had food poisoning once and it was the WORST ever so I can empathize.. I learned though that it is typically from food you ate 24-48 hours before. Weird huh? So maybe it was something you ate the day before.

My story was that my brother and I had chicken from a Thai restaurant Thurs for dinner and then midnight Friday night, we both started throwing up nonstop. UGH, makes me cringe just recalling it.

I got sick three days before my wedding! Once the festivities began, I instantly felt better and was too distracted to notice. A very sympathetic doctor came to my rescue, and gave me lots of medicine, just in case….. šŸ™‚

The night before my sister’s wedding she experience the same thing, was convinced it was food poisoning and thought her “big day” was ruined. Turns out it was just a nervous tummy! I know it sounds strange but you probably don’t even realize the amount of nerves going on in your stomach because you’re so excited! Deep breathes, friends, family and a bit of Xanex will fix your tummy troubles in no time!

    Hope this helps
