December 6, 2017 by Julie 36 Comments

My favorite gift guide of the year is here!!! I genuinely love putting this post together every year because more and more companies seem to be popping up that make wonderful products that support absolutely amazing causes. Thank you so much to those of you who commented on my previous gift guide for Gift Ideas Under $25 and on my PBF Facebook post to let me know about some of the companies you love that give back in some way.

Gifts That Give Back

Below you will find a roundup of gift ideas from companies who give back. In addition to detailing some products offered by the companies, each summary also includes a little bit more information about the way the company gives back so you can search for causes that are important to you that you would like to support this holiday season. I think a great gift (and something you’d have to do with the other person): http://www.charitycharge.com. It’s a MasterCard where 1% of your purchases go to the charity(ies) of your choice! It’s an easy way to give back. Really cool.

You should take this sentence out since you are using affiliate links…..”No affiliate links are included in this post and I hope you enjoy shopping for loved ones and giving back in some way this holiday season!” The link to Etsy is an affilaite link. I understand the need to use affiliate links, but no reason to lie about it.

Oh my gosh! I truly didn’t mean to be misleading here at all and just made the Etsy link an affiliate out of habit since it’s a site that allows for affiliate linking and I’ve used it a bunch in the past. I didn’t look into affiliate programs or use them for anything else in this gift guide and I promise this was completely an oversight. I updated that line in the post though!! Absolutely did not mean to be dishonest!

It would have been more sincere if you had taken out the affiliate link, but gotta make that money!

your request specifically said to remove the part about using affiliate links (and you expressed understanding in why i use them) and that’s what i did. i was just updating the post from my phone on the go, so it was easier than changing out the link and honestly if someone bought a bag of coffee, i’d make like $0.70 and it wouldn’t impact the purchase price at all. i promise it wasn’t greed driving this one at all and i hope you can trust this.

This is the post I look forward to reading each year! I wanted to add that under the St. Jude’s page under collections and then donation gifts, you can buy things like oxygen for a day, a chest x-ray, books for the waiting room, or a last day of chemo party. St. Jude’s is great!

I’ve been an intermittent reader for years, and I was thrilled to see this post! My brother was diagnosed with refractory Hodgkin’s lymphoma three years ago, and through his experience, he decided to start a sock company that gives back to patients. The socks are all made in the US (North Carolina, in fact), designed with patients, and half the profits go to patients or charities of their choosing. I’d love for you to check it out: https://www.resilience.gives/

Thanks for sharing all these great gifts that go to good causes!
