This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!

YourReebok Giveaway

This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue. 
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!

I’ll admit I’ve spent quite some time playing around with the custom designs, too, so I completely get what you’re talking about – who wouldn’t?!
Anyway, I think I’d go with the RealFlex Scream 2.0 and definitely incorporate coral into the design.
You’ve got me sold on the Nana Speeds in black with neon accents.
Neon – not Nana – where does auto correct come up with these words?

I would design and personalize the womey ziglite rush. I am totally in love with the pink and grey with just a touch of black. To personalize I would put my maiden name, which is what my calls me anyway. It would put me in touch with my younger days when I used to run all the time. I’m also excited because I just talked my husband into doing a 5K with me. New shoes would be icing on the cake.

I think I would customize a pair of Nanos – I’ve been working out in running shoes, and I want to start circuit training a lot more after the NYC marathon on Sunday, so I want lower, more stable shoes!

I would get the nano in yellow and turquoise and personalize it with the word FLASH!
Also, I am a 53 yr old female that has trained differently for the last year. I took 30 minutes of my PR half marathon and have continued to set new PR’s for myself. Just wanted you to know I tried your circuit workout with the jump rope. Not sure what it was called exactly but began with 10 minute elliptical, one round of your circuit and then a 10 minute mile. My goal is to do 3 rounds. Wow, that was some workout for this old lady! Kudos to you for your exercise routines! Whew.
I would LOVE to design a pair with a purple color scheme. I love all shades of purple and could easily see myself spending way too much time on the website designing a pair! I’d also love to put my name on the back (like you did) or even a short quote on the shoes (one more mile) to keep me motivated 🙂 awesome giveaway!

Dots are severely underrated candy. I love them but have friends that hate on them.
If I could customize reeboks I would use the coral color from your first design. I might put something on the back that says “run fast” or “just smile”.
Oh my gosh I would love to win this give a way! My shoes are ancient things that my Mum brought for me when I was 11 and I am now 23! It is embarrassing, not to mention they totally munch up my feet and hurt. I would love to design some blue and pink nanos!

Its hard to choose, so much motivational sayings out there, some of my favourite are:

I always think that running/workout gear is the one place where you can get away with tons of would-be clashing neon, so I’d customize the nanos in bright neon colors!
I would do shades of red because it is my favorite color and think of it as such a happy one! I would add “Run like you love it” to the back because it is why I run–I love it. I have the same saying on my RoadID.

I love bright colors and a great grip so i can run on paths and not slip. Im in the same boat as you julie as far as customizing with a name, i dont know what i would pick and so hours of brainstorming would be needed 🙂
I would incorporate a lot of bright colors in the shoe I design. Something that really makes me want to get out there and MOVE!!

i’m looking for a new pair of cross-training shoes that are good for weight-lifting and minimal running, but are still super cute!
