Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’m scared to try compression gear because I’m afraid it will be unflattering!

I love compression wear! I wore it when I was a swimmer through high speed suits and as a collegiate golfer compression kept us warm without limiting our range of movement!

The only thing I know about compression pants is that they can keep you warm or cool depending on if you are woking out in hot or cold. But this might not be true. The fact that these help stabilize your muscle is amazing to me! I can’t even understand how that works!!! 🙂

I used to wear compression shorts underneath soccer shorts when I played competitively. It sure helped preventing burns when slide tackling. It’s sure been awhile though!

I have no experience with compression gear because they are usually out of my price range. I always hear great things though from my running friends, so I would love to see what all the rave is about! 🙂

For as long as I can remember, tiiiight muscles have been an issue for me. I was amazed when I tried compression sleeves on my calves and noticed a difference in my knee pain. Fast forward 1 year, and I’ve been dealing with nagging hip (hellooooo hip flexor and piriformis) tightness that has been making my back go crazy. I’ve been wanting to try compression shorts, thinking they will support me in all the right, tight places 😉

I just recently started experimenting with compression gear — when I have long runs to train (13mi +) they help keep the lower half of my legs aching even after I’m finished!
