Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I love compression gear.. I only have socks right now though. I run about 40 miles a week and I’m pregnant with our second baby so even when I’m not running it helps with circulation, swelling and vericose veins!

I haven’t used compression gear, but I’d love to try it! I’ve been dealing with a running-induced hip injury and think it might help-seems like it would help provide some necessary support.

I don’t have much experience with compression running gear outside of cold winter gear. I’m very excited to try these shorts however since I’m planning on training for my first marathon next month! I have joint issues so when I read how these shorts help address these issues I was immediately sold! Thanks for the great info!

I tore my hip in high school and use to have to wear compression shorts because our trainer was a boy and also for extra support. I love them! They are so comfortable.

I have never heard of compression gear before but by your description, it sounds like it could be very beneficial for most athletes. I played many sports in high school and I tore my ACL in grade 12. I am still an very athletic, recently ran 2 half marathons and now training for a fitness competition and have many set backs due to knee problems. Compression gear sounds like it could help me train better and reach my full potential! Thanks for the insight!

I have one pair of compression shorts, but I don’t really wear them. They have a really thick band at the top that’s not very comfortable so I don’t wear them. These look a lot better then the ones I have so I’m going to check out the site.

How cool! I’d love to try these shorts, they look fantastic. My only experience with compression gear thus far is with compression socks from Pro Compression, made famous by your fellow blogger friend Skinny Runner! I love those and am hooked on them, so I’m sure I’d love these shorts as well 🙂

I swam all through high school and college in the tightest bathing suits imaginable, but I HATED compression gear to do “dryland” in. Now that I’m in the real world of working out, compression tights, capris, and shorts are all I work out in! I love it! I’ve only worn Under Armor but would love to try a new brand!
