Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I wear compression socks everyday at work (Nurse). 13 hours on your feet in the ICU can be hard on your body and wanting to still get in running time, they save my life!

I have always wanted to try compression shorts – my quads gets lots of lactic acid buildup from cycling, and I’d love something to help alleviate that!

Compression garments have been a life saver during my half marathon training. Long runs have not been as painful and I feel like I have been able to push myself harder. I definitely need to invest in more items 🙂

Oh I really like these!! I am still in my first year of running as an adult (I don’t count my high school years. I don’t believe they had compression apparel in those days) and am just now starting to get appropriate gear. I have asked for a couple of compression tights. I am excited to see how I like them and if I can tell a difference in my performance compared to old sweats.

Honestly, I only knew about compression sleeves (which I have but have never used). I had never heard of compression shorts. However, after reading the comments, I think I need to get a pair of these! After never having any knee problems, I just injured my knee on my 16 mile run 2 weeks ago. Sigh. I have a doctor’s appt on Thursday to find out what’s wrong, but it sounds like these shorts just might help!

The only compression I’ve ever used when exercising is a compression sports bra (Under Armor- it’s my FAVORITE!) but I’ve never worn compression shorts or leg sleeves. My boyfriend runs with compression shorts and he absolutely loves them. I have been interested in trying them for a while now!
