Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’ve never used compression gear, but I know how much I like tight fitting clothes (as opposed to the baggy, movement hindering stuff) when I work out, and this stuff seems perfect!

I recently ordered my first pair of compression socks and am currently eagerly awaiting delivery. I plan on running my 2nd Half Marathon in February and am hopeful that they will help my legs from becoming fatigued. Would LOVE to win the compression shorts… super cute! By the way,, thanks for getting back to me about picmonkey. I used the website to make up my own little HM training graphic. Appreciate your help!

I’ve read a lot about compression gear and loved the idea of it, so I tried to buy it twice. Unfortunately, as a poor college kid, I opted for cheap versions, which ended up not compressing anything at all! Instead, I constantly have to pull up my “compression” running tights as I go, leading to a lot of frustrated sighs and weird looks from passersby. I would love to have a pair of tried and true compression shorts to use instead!

I’ve never tried compression gear before, but I like working out in tighter pants than loose ones, and I’d love to try em if they help with hip injuries because it seems everytime I run past half-hour my hip kills for days. Awesome giveaway!

I’ve used compression socks, but they were too uncomfortable for me to commit to. I’ve never really thought about compression shorts; these would be great for my long gym days (those days of yoga, running and weights). Maybe my tush wouldn’t be so sore the next day!

I have never owned a pair of compression shorts! I am an avid runner, but I always stick to spandex. I have heard of the benefits of compression, but have never been brave enough to try a pair since I am so comfortable with my Nike running tights and shorts. I would love to try them out though!!

I saw a photo of you wearing compression gear a few months ago on your blog and thought, “I wonder if compression shorts would improve my circulation during long runs.” Perhaps this is just the boost I need to finally get my butt in gear… compression gear! 🙂

I’m doing longer runs, and longer runs increase potential for injury. I have never used compression, but since an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, it couldn’t hurt to start!
