Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’ve never used compression gear b/c I’m scared of clothes that are too tight and ride up! But, I’d like to try! I’m ready to throw in the soccer shorts and give them a go!

I tried the Nike compression shorts but after problems with them riding up, I gave up on compression gear. I’d love another try with what looks like a much better pair of shorts though!

I have no direct experience with compression gear, but like many women I have my spandex pieces. Even though spandex shorts are pretty comfortable, sometimes I know guys are enjoying them more than they should. Haha

I would love to try compression shorts! Lately, I’ve been having a bit of pain in my right hip after running (not during at all), and I have been thinking that compression gear may help (and maybe some yoga sessions!)

Lack thereof experience – training for a half starting with plain spandex and rubbing a hole in the thighs during a 6 mile run and getting a rash :/

I’ve been eyeing those compression shorts! If I don’t win they’re going on my Christmas list. I use compression calf sleeves and really love them. I’m sure shorts would help with my hip flexor and piriformis issues!

Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to try compression gear as I just recently graduated from university and great, high quality running gear tends to be pricey. However, I always wanted to try this kind of gear due to its benefits. Especially for my first half-marathon this spring it would be great to wear compression gear.

I have no experience with compression gear–it kind of sounds uncomfortable. I have started training for my next half with a full marathon on the horizon next year in the fall (once my youngest daughter is over 1 year) and a friend was raving about compression the other day. I would love to give it a try!

I LOVE my compression shin guards for long runs. They really helped my shin splint issues during marathon training. I developed some hip soreness during marathon training that I’m looking to get under control now with some stretches and strength training– I’m hoping these shorts could help my hips even more!!!!
