Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’ve never tried compression gear, but I have a feeling it’ll be helpful as I start gearing up for next weekend’s race and Gasparilla!

I used compression shorts when I played sports, but never thought of using them for my everyday exercise. I would be interested in trying this brand and seeing the impact it has on my body and performance!

I’ve never used compression gear and when a coworker who runs Iron Mans and marathons suggested wearing compression gear all I could think of were my grandma’s compression socks. I’ve seen a bunch of runners wearing different gear and I think it’s time I try too!

I’ve had great experiences with compression sleeves for my shins/calves during half marathons! They really helped with soreness after the race as well as minimizing shin pain while running. I’ve never tried shorts though and would love the opportunity!

I wore compression socks after my second marathon and they really helped me during the long drive I had to take home that afternoon! And I am dealing with a hip injury right now and just want to get back for my senior year season running track at my university, so these would be perfect!!!

I lovelovelove compression socks for recovery, but I’m not a huge fan of running in them. Some days when I’m super-sore I wish I could wear a big compression bodysuit 🙂

Would love to win these! I just got some compression pants, but eventually I’ll need shorts for the spring. It’s funny – compression stuff looks SO small and I never think I’d fit into them, but obviously, they are deceiving!

LOVE the Aspaeris Pivot Shorts!!! I’m actually writing up a giveaway for my blog today. I would put it off another week since you are doing this one but I’ve put it off for over a month now. LOL! Anyhow, these are my favorite compression shorts. I have LOTS of them, a pair in every color (they used to have navy, white, red & black). These are great to wear unders skirts, especially sparkle skirts so that you can look cute, have some coverage and let the compression work it’s magic!!

Random question – what kind of blender do you use for your smoothies? I just burned through another blender motor last night. I’ve tried basic to mid-range blenders but never last more than a year or two. I do use it a lot for frozen fruit so I want something durable but I certainly don’t need the super expensive blender that can handle an iPhone (besides, I like my iPhone and have no desire to find out if it will blend or not)! Thank You!!!

I am only 24 years old and have already had THREE knee surgeries due to athletic injuries. I’ve been increasing the amount of running I do lately and my knee has begun to bother me again. I over-compensate by running a little differently to help my knee but I don’t think it’s good for my other muscles (esp. my hips!) at all! I’d love to try out compression gear and see if that could make a difference for me and prevent future injuries!
