Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Haven’t ever tried it- but I do love me some spandex so I think me and compression would get along just fine.

I have very little experience with compression shorts, but I believe these would help motivate me in my running. After the new year, I want to increase my mileage. These would be great! Also, I love the pink color!!

I have never worn compression gear, would love to try! I just finished my first half marathon in September, I also did a lot of treadmill training for it, until I “took the show on the road” do you have any tips for getting back into the treadmill routine again?…to make it “fun” again? I lost 87lbs in 15 months and do not want winter to get me in a rut, with 3 kids ages 8, 5, 20 months, they keep me busy so I have a limited workout time frame everyday..any help. tips, or tricks are welcome!! Thank You!

Oh my word…I have a love/hate/love relationship with compression gear! I love love love what it does for my body and how it helps with recovery and soreness. I have a few pairs of ProCompression socks (two knee-high, one short sock) and the hate part comes in when I’m trying to put them on. I just can’t get those suckers on withou falling over…even if I’m sitting down. It takes me probably a good 5 extra minutes PER FOOT to just get the socks on. BUT…like I said…I love them. I’ve never tried shorts or any other type of compression gear and would love the chance to see if I can get them on in under 5 minutes…without falling over! 😉

I recently ventured in to the world of compression calf sleeves. I wore them over night one and to spin class another time.
I’m not sure if they made a difference but I am intrigued and looking to learn/try more.

I have had all good experience with compression. I don’t know whether it’s really physically effective, but it’s definitely mentally comforting to compress after (or during) a run or ride. I have compression socks, shorts, and tights, and I’d love to add another of these shorts to my collection!

Because I’m a spinning fan, I just CAN’T go to spin classes without compression shorts, now that I know the benefits of it! Who would prefer to be all sweaty in too loose shorts ? Also, I feel much more confident and…let say it AWESOME with tight clothes to cycle my way 🙂

I have never tried compression anything! I’ve seen them before but I guess I always just ended up buying different workout gear instead. I was never sure if they would be comfortable. But now that I suffered a hip flexor injury from running I am wondering if maybe they would be a smart idea to wear. I don’t want to injure myself any further so I am looking for anything that would help.

I’ve never tried compression shorts but I imagine that they would definitely improve comfort during runs – especially during adventure runs where wet and muddy shorts can lead to quite the uncomfortable chafing!
