Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I love compression sleeves, I wore them threw both 1/2 marathons I have run and through training. Compressions shorts are something I will wear undershorts that tend to rid up and i love them! I would love to try a new brand!

I like wearing compression shorts under running shorts when I go on long runs. They help keep my running shorts in place and supports my muscles!

Wow! Since I’ve been working hard to get my body back in shape I finally feel like I can stop wearing black and baggy at the gym and . A bright slick color like those will help revamp my workout and it’s interesting to hear they help with injury prevention. Nothing is worse than finally getting into a routine and then having to stop!

I have never tried compression gear but I am always looking for new types of exercise clothes to try out – still haven’t found my favourites yet. I have some muscle problems especially when running so this would be awesome to try out 🙂

I don’t have any experience with compression gear, although I’m awfully intrigued by it now that I know these guide your muscles into the proper position. I’ve had some surgeries that now cause me ankle/knee/hip pain when I run so I’m hopeful these would help!

I wear socks and sleeves but definitely want to try the shorts. My mom just had a really bad fall and her physical therapist recommended compression shorts to help with her recovery. That just proves to me the benefits of compression for all types of recovery!

I have never heard of compression anything until now! So obviously I lack experience but I would love to try them out! I find myself working out in unattractive old shorts a lot while everyone else is wearing all this cool workout clothes. Its embarrassing lol! It would be so awesome to have these! 🙂 Plus I have a shirt that would match perfectly with the pink ones!!!

I own a pair of compression socks but have yet to try any other compression gear since I had some IT band/knee injuries after running my first half marathon last year. After recently getting back into running, these would be great to try to help avoid future injuries!

I wear compression socks after my big races and have definitely found a lot less soreness after wearing them! It could be in my head, but that doesn’t matter to me as long as I feel less sore and can get back to running sooner!
