Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

While running a half marathon this past Sunday I saw a ton of people in all types of compression clothing and thought, I really need to try those. Wondering if it will help me at all? Thanks! Love the blog!

I’ve been using compression sleeves and compression socks for recovery after my long runs for the past few months. I’m not sure if it was them or the fact that this was my fourth marathon, but my recovery from my long runs was a lot easier this past training cycle. I’ve heard about Aspaeris shorts for some time and am anxious to try them so even if I don’t win I will probably be buying a pair soon.

I had never worn compression gear until a friend bought be calf sleeves for the Chicago Marathon. Despite the “nothing new on race day” mantra, I wore them any way! They REALLY helped with recovery and soreness during the run!

I have never tried compression clothing but always wanted to. My muscles ache (not in a good way) every time I workout. Especially my butt, hips, upper thigh area with as much as I walk on the treadmill.

I agree, Julie – once I found compression gear (shorts, sleeves, socks, etc.), I haven’t turned back. I have used the socks/sleeve post-run for recovery, and wore them for a couple races where I had shin or calf issues. Love the pivot shorts and would love another pair (I own them in navy). Did you see Aspaeris is coming out with a second edition of these? I read an article about it somewhere, and I’m stoked!

I’ve never tried any compression gear before but have had numerous injuries from running. Most recently I injured my hip and plan to start back up with my running soon. These would be great to help me keep my body aligned.
