Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week: Day Two

December 4, 2012 by Julie 1,351 Comments

It’s day two of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week and the fitness fun is just beginning!

Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week

Today we’re keeping the festivities rolling with a compression shorts giveaway!

Aspaeris Compression Shorts Giveaway

As someone who discovered the benefits of compression gear only a year ago, I fell hard and fast for compression clothing, sleeves and socks.

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are my favorite pair of compression shorts – I have them in navy blue and red – and when I reached out to the company about a giveaway, they enthusiastically agreed. Hooray!

Aspaeris Pivot Shorts

They also threw in the added bonus of 25 percent off the compression shorts on their website for PBF readers just in case you don’t win but still want to try their gear. (Just use the code PBFINGERS on the Aspaeris website and you’ll get the discount.)

The Aspaeris Pivot Shorts are actually two shorts in one.

According to the company, the outer short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles while the inner short features Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. These cross-knit bands guide your muscles into the proper position, thereby improving your pivot performance which helps prevent ACL and hip injuries.

Pivot Compression Shorts

They’ll keep you nice and snug!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below telling me about your experience (or lack of experience!) with compression gear.

I will randomly select a winner on Thursday morning.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’m new on the compression gear front, though, it sounds like a phenomenal addition to training for the upcoming race I’m about to embark upon – the Great Aloha Run (8 mi) – I’m super excited and these compression shorts may be the ticket to helping me realign my form eliminating stress on my hips / knees – super excited!

I have never tried compression shorts before. I have tried the nike shorts with the spandex short underneath and I love those. I have been searching for a kind of compression shorts because I have heard wonderful things about them and how they help on longer runs. I love the color of the shorts in the photo too!

I am new to the compression gear, but it sounds like an interesting concept. I love running but lately have had more than the usual aches and pains. I wonder, and hope, that the compression shorts might help, especially with my hip pain! Definitely would love the opportunity to try it!

I have never tried compression shorts before but I hear they are awesome especially for running outside. I used to work at under armour and tried on a pair and they seemed like they would definitely keep you warm! Would love to try a pair since winter is almost here and its cold out!!!

I used to wear compression shorts when I was a high school athlete and they made such a difference! One surgery and many years later I am getting back into working out and in dire need of compression gear, this would be a perfect start to my new collection!

I use compression shorts for roller derby by Unser Armour, but mine have a much shorter top part. I find that although they are awesome at compressing me, they also give me a terrible muffin top! I can handle being knocked around on the track but the pictures after make me cringe! I’d love to try this brand.

I have never personally worn compression gear. I have had the misconception that it is just for guys and not comfortable at all. After thinking about this, I remembered that my younger sister wore compression shorts in many sports during High School and in college intramurals, but I never knew why (I was definitely not the athlete of the family).

Now that I have read your post and done a few moments of googling, I feel like I would really like to try some out! I have struggled with joint issues, especially my hips, when I run. It would be AWESOME if something this simple could take that pain away!

I have a pair of UA compression shorts, but they just feel like bike shorts to me. Nothing special, really. 🙂 BUT, I do have some calf sleeves from Pro Compression and they’re quite lovely. They’re pink and I adore them! I’ve read about Aspaeris and I’m interested… I hope I win!

I’m going to be honest, I’ve never used any compression shorts, shirts, whatever else they make that’s compression before! But, I would love to try them out especially because I’m a college student and taking an intense running class next semester! I go to school in Minnesota and I have just been informed that we will be running outside. In the snow. Ooooh my! And at the end of the semester we will run a half marathon! So I’ll take anything to improve my runnin’!!

I always used to get horrible shin splints when I tried to up my mileage, but after trying compression socks I’m thankfully pain free (and ready to train for a half marathon…too bad it isn’t till May). I’d love to see what a difference shorts make though!
