Dear TOMS,

I’m sorry I called you fugly.

I’m sorry I said you look like grandma shoes.

I apologize for ever thinking that you look like you belong on the feet of those in a nursing home.

You are, in fact, the most comfortable shoes known to man and I will wear you everywhere.

Love,

Julie

*Sob* It hurts to read this post. I got my first ever pair a couple weeks ago from my parents as part of my celebration for getting into medical school. Yesterday my 10 month puppy got ahold of one of them without my realizing it. Lets just say it was utter destruction. I miss them so!

Oh girl, I wish I could share your love. But, well, I can’t. Socks are comfy too, but I don’t wear those in public. Same with slippers. Yep, I’m standing my ground against TOMS (though I love they’re philanthropy).

Sigh…at least you made up for it with cute nude pumps 😉

TOMS rule! Not only for how freakishly comfortable they are, but because it’s such a great cause!

Yup, I thought the same thing but I LOVE my Tom’s!! I have the olive green pair and they literally go with everything. I like them so much, I have bought pairs for my mom and sister just so they could experience them. Enjoy your new shoe love (even though your new pumps are prettier!)! 🙂

I always look at the TOMS website but have yet to purchase a pair. Maybe once I decide I’m too old to wear Converse (is there an age limit?) I will hop on the TOMS wagon.

Hmmm I am intrigued. I’ve been up in the air about these puppies. I see they even have wedges on their site. May have to partake in this comfy trend.

That’s how I first felt about Toms! But one of my girlfriends convinced me to just buy 1 pair and try them out. I was on vacation in California and we hit up South Coast Plaza. From that day I now own a total of 5 pairs of Toms and it won’t stop there! They are the best.

I just bought my first pair yesterday, and I’m now looking into grabbing another pair. They are awesome! And the whole donating-of-shoes thing is the cherry on top.

It’s funny that you said they look like grandma shoes because my grandma used to wear these shoes, not TOMS but alpargatas – the shoes that TOMS are based off.

I’m Argentinean so it’s kind of funny to me to see my friends wearing shoes my grandma to use wear 🙂

I have two pairs of TOMs and while I like their look, be forewarned. They get really really smelly. Like rank. I think my feet maybe sweat a bit more than the average girls, but I have talked to many other people too, and when you wear them often without socks (which is pretty much the only way to wear them) they really start to stink. You should be okay for the first couple weeks if you’re planning on taking them to Europe and I agree that they are super comfortable.

Sadly, I will never know of the comfort of TOMs. They are way too ugly to ever put on my feet. I am sure you will somehow manage to make them look bearable though.

I have a pair of black glitter Toms that I am obsessed with but like other people have said, they get SMELLY! I cannot take take them off at all around other people bc they make my feet smell so bad. It’s pretty embarrassing. But they’re cute, so I deal with it.

I know own 5 pairs. And I got my mom started too. She now has 4 pairs and checks all the time.

They are addictive. But they help kids in Africa so they are for a good cause!
