Just Get Through the Day

November 24, 2010 by Julie 21 Comments

Just get through work today and then we’re home freeeeee!

"You can do it!"

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I am thrilled.

Family time, good food, Harry Potter and Christmas cookie baking are all on the agenda for the weekend and I am ready to get crackin’ on the fun.

As for today…

The gym was dead this morning.

The lake near our apartment that is typically bustling with early-morning dog walkers was dead this morning.

The roads were dead this morning.

Fortunately my breakfast was alive with flavor!

Pumpkin Yogurt Bowl

I made myself a pumpkin yogurt bowl that included the following:

  • 1.5 c. plain Chobani Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
  • Honey roasted slivered almonds
  • Honey
  • Pumpkin pie spice

Fall Flavas

Another View

Autumn Spoonful

The mixture was fall-tastic.

8 more hours ’til freedom… 😀

Looks delicious! I’m so jealous that all of you in the US get a long weekend – our Thanksgiving was in October so sadly, I’ll be working when you’re celebrating and eating delicious food! I’m still feeling festive though so I might just have to cook up some Thanksgiving-esque recipes this weekend. I hope you have an amazing time with your family! 😀

I am hoping for some Harry Potter action in our weekend as well. Like REALLY hoping. Baking cookies would be pretty freaking amazing too.

How much honey and pumpkin pie spice to you suggest adding? Can’t wait to make this for breakfast tomorrow – looks ‘feel-good’ indulgent.

A Silpat is the best thing that’s ever happened to my baking endeavors. I definitely agree with that recommendation!

And I love the dress you wore on T Giving — so sweet — where is it from?

My developer is trying to convince me to move to .
net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.

But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites
for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform.
I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.
net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into
it? Any help would be really appreciated!
