This post is sponsored by Kohl’s through ShopStyle. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to review some of their latest fitness apparel and thank you all very much for your support surrounding sponsored posts. I very much appreciate it!
When you come downstairs wearing jeans and your husband asks you why you’re “dressing up,” you know you’re wearing workout clothes a little too often. There’s definitely no denying the fact that I basically live in athletic apparel!
I wear gym clothes every single day, not only to the gym where I work, train and teach, but also around the house and out and about running errands. Workout apparel is just more comfortable to me than most “real clothes” (especially right now with a growing belly!) and I love it when I stumble upon workout clothing that can easily make the transition from the gym to everyday life and still look cute!
I recently received an email from Kohl’s about the launch of apparel from Gaiam at their stores. I was already familiar with the brand (they make my all-time favorite gym bag) and know Gaiam is all about quality and affordability. Win, win!
I quickly responded with an enthusiastic “YES!” when they offered me the opportunity to try out some of Gaiam’s new workout clothing and had no trouble filling my cart with cute apparel to try on during a recent trip to Kohl’s.
Kohl’s Gaiam Apparel Sneak Peek
Below you will find a summary of everything I ended up keeping!
Bonus: All of the items you see below are less than $40!
This top was, hands down, my favorite item from the new collection. The tee is so lightweight and comfortable! I’ve worn it to teach spinning, take a Pure Barre class and also to meet up with girlfriends for a quick impromptu early lunch (the look you see above). I’ve actually worn it to bed, too, because it’s so darn soft that I didn’t want to take it off at the end of the day.
Though the tee is a burnout top, the black color wasn’t as see through as typical burnout tops so I felt like it was a little more modest and still appropriate to wear to teach group exercise classes without feeling like I was on display. I also like the slightly longer sleeves since they don’t cut off my arms in an unflattering place the way many workout t-shirts seem to do!
I actually ended up going back to Kohl’s to pick up the exact same top in a bright pink color because I loved it so much!
And the little pop of neon green you see coming through the little keyhole in the back? That would be…
It’s currently available in a myriad of colors including a basic black and black camo, but I immediately gravitated toward the lime green.
The super strappy racerback is what initially caught my eye, but the comfortable fit, lightly lined cups and soft fabric is what sealed the deal. It also comes up a little higher on the chest (which you can somewhat see through the pink burnout tee picture above), making it perfect for teaching spin classes when I don’t want to lean over the handlebars of a bike and give the class a show!
These leggings are a pregnant woman’s dream!!! They come up higher than most workout capris out there and since I opted for a size up from my normal pre-pregnancy size, I was able to pull the waistband comfortably over most of my belly! They didn’t dig into my stomach or sides (hallelujah!) and sat comfortably against my body. The back of the leggings also have a higher rise than the front, making them ideal for workouts where you’re bending over a lot and want full coverage over your backside. Yes!
The capris are available in three colors: Black camo (pictured above), black and fuchsia butterfly.
This hoodie is belly-approved! Haha! The material is soft and very thin while still maintaining a durable feel to it. I figured it would be a great springtime hoodie to take me to and from the gym and also out and about on the lake where the breeze can still make even the warmest day feel a little chilly!
I’m so glad I went to the store to try this tank on because had I just seen it online, I never would’ve thought it would work over a growing belly. I selected the tank a size up from my pre-pregnancy size and actually ended up really liking the way it hugged my belly! I’m finally beginning to feel more confident about showing off my baby bump rather than hiding it under tons of loose layers, so I was excited to find a tank that fit snuggly without feeling restrictive. The built in bra also offers moderate support and comes with removable cups.
I hope you enjoyed this little peek into Gaiam’s apparel line at Kohl’s! I owe a big thank you to Kohl’s and Gaiam for the opportunity to try out some new workout apparel and I am very grateful for your support, as always!!
