Lame-O!

December 31, 2009 by Julie 14 Comments

Lame-o! That’s meee!

This year Ryan and I are taking a break from the typical New Year’s  party scene to enjoy a laid back night at the movies, followed by dinner. Is that what happens when you get engaged???

Neither of us are too intrigued by the plans that have surfaced or the madness of downtown and have opted to bring in 2010 with each other (and Sadie, of course).

Which movie should we see? Sherlock Holmes, The Blind Side or The Princess and the Frog? We can’t decide!

I’m actually really excited for our little date because I always feel like New Year’s Eve is built up so much… but is never really all that amazing. Debbie Downer, I know!  Eek.

As long as I have a good guy to kiss at midnight tonight, I’ll be a happy gal! 😀

What are your New Year’s Eve plans?

C’mon tell me. Make me feel like a huge loser. I can take it!

Lunch

What wasn’t lame-o was my lunch today.

Veggie Pasta Bowl

Today I enjoyed roasted garlic Carba Nada pasta with lots of toppings:

  • Yellow squash
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Portobello mushrooms
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce

Delish

I think I could eat pasta every single day and not get sick of it. Nom, nom, nom.

Mike and I are staying in as well. We even rented the movies. This is our first time not going anywhere in 10 years!

The Blind Side is an EXCELLENT movie! It gets my vote!

I am totally with you…100%! Keith and I never make a big deal out of New Years Eve. We like to stay in and be cozy. I like watching the countdown on TV and just being chill. Since we are still at the beach we will be spending it with my mom and stepdad! My mom bought some Prosecco (Italian Champagne) for us to sip on! VERY EXCITED!

Happy New Year’s Eve to you and Ryan!!

I got married this year and YES…it makes you old! Ha!
I’m going to a party with all my married friends and most have kids so the party is only 5-9pm…..lame eh?
I’m probably eating popcorn and watching t.v after that.
Don’t feel too lame….you’re one of a million people doing the exact same thing!

Don’t feel like a loser! I’m staying in with my family and watching 500 Days of Summer! I hate the crazy crowds and hype about New Year’s Eve. I’ll probably watch the ball drop on TV but that’s about it!

    Happy New Year!!!!!

It must be an engaged thing or just sick of the club scene/drinking scene, because Mike and I did a dinner and movies for New Years Eve!!! We saw Blind side and toasted with our diet cokes in the theater at midnight!! We had a great night and it was just great to be him and I!!! I bet you had a great one too!!!
