Layover

May 4, 2011 by Julie 82 Comments

Hello from Atlanta!!!

At around 12:30 p.m., my family and I boarded our first flight from Tampa to Atlanta where we are now stationed for the next hour as we await our flight to Italy!

My sister and I started our travels by swiping licks from personal Nutella packets.

atlanta 002

atlanta 004

This stuff is like crack in a packet… not that I know what crack in a packet would taste like, but it is highly addictive.

We spent this flight reading all about Rome and going through a guidebook on Rome and the comments you guys left on my blog that I printed out to brainstorm possible itineraries during our trip.

atlanta 005

Our next flight from Atlanta to Italy will hopefully be spent sleeping. We’ve come prepared with eye masks!

atlanta 003

I think my mask looks like some kind of a face bra.

Though I made sure to snack on peanuts (four servings… my serving and my sister’s), I was still pretty hungry when we landed. Luckily the tummies of my family were also grumbling, and we headed toward a food court in the airport to pick up some grub.

atlanta 009

I selected the large Greek salad from Nature’s Table with raspberry vinaigrette dressing.

atlanta 008

This salad was full of feta cheese and black olives which made me very happy. It was so, so fresh and hit the spot! I was a happy camper.

Only 45 minutes until we’re flyin’ high to Europe!!!

See ya from overseas! Smile
