Nearly Forgotten Massage

July 15, 2011 by Julie 59 Comments

One nice thing about working from home is that I no longer have to rely solely on a microwave for heating up my meals.

Hooray for a quesadilla made on the griddle!

green smoothie 004

Don’t get me wrong. Microwave quesadillas are very tasty, but using a griddle to make my ‘dilla added a little crunch to the outside of the tortilla. Love that!

My quesadilla contained shredded cheese, cauliflower, broccoli, black beans and salsa.

Afternoon Massage

Thank goodness for Google Calendars because I would’ve totally missed a massage I had scheduled at noon today if it wasn’t for an email reminder!

I was halfway through my quesadilla when the notification popped up!

A little over a year ago, for my 25th birthday, my sister gave me a gift certificate for a massage at Bodyscape Massage Therapy in Orlando. For some reason I kept putting off going because I wanted to use it after a big event. I initially wanted to use it after my half marathon, then after our wedding, etc. Well, now that we’re moving out of Orlando, I had to use it and booked an appointment last week.

Talk about an awesome mid-day surprise!

I headed over to Bodyscape and enjoyed a seriously intense deep tissue massage. I don’t think I’ve ever had a masseuse use as much pressure as the woman today did. It was awesome, slightly painful (in a good way) and worked out a bunch of knots and kinks.

I feel like a new, slightly sore woman!

Fro Yo Addict

Guys, I have a problem.

I seriously cannot drive past a fro yo place without stopping.

fro yo 002

My afternoon cup of sweetness included cookies ‘n’ cream frozen yogurt, raspberries, strawberries, chocolate chips, yogurt pretzels, Butterfinger crumbles and Golden Grahams.

And it was glorious.

I see more fro yo in my future because there’s a frozen yogurt shop right next to the movie theater where Ryan and I are going to see Harry Potter tonight.

Giveaway Winner

Congratulations to the winners of yesterday’s giveaway!

  • #582, Emily: “Ok, so I had braces when I was in middle school. I was so excited because unlike most people who have to have them on for years, I only had them for 10 months. Well I had been counting down the days to get my braces off and guess what… my orthodontist died! Isn’t that horrible? As if that wasn’t bad enough, they had no one to take off my braces. So finally they had some temp guy come in and he took them off, but he did it wrong and didn’t take off the cement right? So not only was it incredibly painful but it took me about 5 years for them to work on the cement at every dentist appt. Horrible. Oh and there was never any follow-up so I have no idea about the retainer thing. Fingers crossed that my teeth don’t shift!!”
  • #298, Kyle: “Taylor Lautner definitely has the best celeb teeth… although that’s a bias answer as I am a HUGE Twilight fan!!!!”

Please email me at pbfingers@gmail.com with your mailing address and which gift card you would like (Whole Foods or Sports Authority).

Back to work. I seriously can’t wait for Harry Potter tonight! I’ve heard good things from you crazies out there who already saw it at midnight last night and I am pumped!!!

How much froyo do you usually get in the cup (like 1/2 cup, 3/4 cup, etc). I love it too but always accidentally go overboard because they have too many flavors!
