Not the Same

February 22, 2011 by Julie 37 Comments

At first glance my lunch today may seem awfully similar to my mid-day meal from yesterday.

Tuesday's Lunch

Sure a cinnamon bagel and gooey cheese is involved again, but note the differences:

  • Cinnamon raisin bagel thin was replaced by cinnamon spice Alternative Bagel
  • Swiss cheese was replaced by two slices of muenster cheese
  • No egg in today’s bagelwich

Bagel with Cheese

See! Totally original! 😉

Today’s lunch also featured a side of roasted curried cauliflower that I let cook in the oven this morning while I showered. Set it and forget it! (Well, technically prepping this side was more of a “set it, shower, blow dry your hair and come check on it again,” but that doesn’t sounds as fancy.)

Roasted Cauliflower

Dessert came in the form of four white chocolate peppermint Hershey’s kisses that found their way into the office candy bowl today.

Peppermint Kisses

Christmas candy, perhaps? Hey two-month-old candy is still candy. Gimme, gimme.

(Side note: After looking back at my Christmas recap post I am now sad. I miss the holidays! Bring on St. Patty’s day QUICK!)

Back to work…

You have totally inspired me to start bringing bagels to work for my lunch. I don’t know why I never do!

Hershey kisses are so dangerous for me…I can’t stop eating them…

I’ve been bringing loads of V-day candy into work to get rid of it. Little secret though…it’s from LAST YEAR! I stocked up on 3 giant bags of candy hearts (because I’m a holiday candy hoarder) and finally decided to share.

    They still tasted good!

Yum … roasted cauliflower is my FAV

Julie. Hey …here’s a possible thought for an upcoming post. I was recently married as well … Feb 4th 🙂 And I am in the process of doing all of the name changing, credit card changing, trying to buy things with ONE credit card with a name of another, etc 🙂 Did you go through any of this or was yours smooth sailing? Did you ever feel excited to be a part of a new “team” but bittersweet about saying good-bye to the “Julie Bream” of the 1980’s 😉 Just wondering … I would love to know if anyone else has ever felt the SLIGHT frustration (probably more from the silly hoops we have to go through to PROVE we aren’t terrorists or something of the sort) than anything … but maybe you felt it too? Just a thought. Keep up the awesome posts!
