Outside Dining

October 2, 2011 by Julie 35 Comments

It felt so good to sleep in this morning.

It felt even better to eat delicious French toast, topped with syrup and nectarines right after we woke up on the patio because it’s so beautiful outside today!

Perfect Sunday morning breakfast!

After breakfast, my mom and I headed to Jazzercise. My mom is an avid Jazzerciser and I love taking the class with her whenever I have a chance. It really is so much fun! I love the instructors in St. Pete because they’re all so charismatic, energetic and funny. The class almost feels like a social club in addition to a workout class.

Post Jazzercise, my mom and I hit up some stores looking for more stuff for our rental house, including Pier 1, Marshalls and HomeGoods.

Guess who we saw again today? Lil’ Wayne! Apparently Lil’ Wayne prints are quite the coveted thing in Sarasota and St. Pete.

Lunch

Once we were done shopping, we headed home for a delicious lunch of prime rib sliders with mashed potatoes, gravy and fruit salad.

Such a yummy lunch!

I had two sliders, a ton of fruit salad and mashed potatoes that were buttery and delicious.

Ryan and I have to pack up our stuff and get on the road back to Ocala soon. It’s so incredibly gorgeous outside today that I’m hoping our drive will be a windows-down kinda ride. I have a feeling we’ll be enjoying our new patio furniture this evening!

Jazzercise is the mom type of workout! All my friend’s moms go to class nearly everyday and have their special spots in class. It’s fun to go to when I’m home visiting!

When I first read this I thought you said ‘when we woke up on the patio…’ like you slept outside….I was like ‘hmm… well, it is really nice outside, but I don’t know if I would sleep outside.’ Then I realized you meant that you ate breakfast outside 🙂 …just took me a minute- lol!

Prime rib sliders!!!! I need to have those!!! We haven’t had nice weather in the afternoon in Fort Worth. Decent in the morning for a little preview of fall and then back to the scorching hot afternoon. The devil could definitely hang out here.

I have to ask about the placemats… did your Mom make them? My Mom has a plastic tablecloth in the same “Happy Birthday” pattern that we used to put out on our outdoor patio furniture whenever it was someones birthday. After moving years ago, we would put the tablecloth on our dining room table for the occasions. I’m sure my Mom would have picked up placemats if she saw them, which is why I wanted to know if your Mom had made them!

    Julie,

If you like Jazzercise so much, you should try Zumba! I go to Zumba and I love it cause it doesn’t feel like you’re even exercising!
