Perils of Outdoor Photography

October 5, 2010 by Julie 48 Comments

The unexpected surprises that come along with blogging always keep things interesting.

Sometimes the surprises are smile-inducing comments and emails from readers and sometimes they’re simply crappy.

No, seriously.

Poooooop!

Poop!

As I was snapping pictures of my breakfast outside this morning, this little dollop found its way onto my placemat.

Gross.

Good thing I had a ferocious beast by my side  to scare off the pooping offender before he really let loose.

"Poop again and I'll eat your face!"

Oddly enough that little incident wasn’t enough to put me off of my breakfast.

The crapola was far enough away that I felt confident my yogurt bowl went unscathed.

Yogurt Bowl + Banana

Along with a super-ripe banana, I enjoyed a yogurt bowl that included:

  • 1 c. Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 sliced peach
  • Pumpkin pie spice

Fruity, Spicy, Creamy

I’m already on my second jar of pumpkin spice this season. It does such a good job of adding so much fall flavor that I cannot seem to get enough of it.

First Bite

This breakfast was really filling! I blame the protein from the Greek yogurt and cottage cheese coupled with the fiber from the fruit.

Winning combination!

Workout

This breakfast was the perfect post-workout fuel.

This morning’s workout began with 25 minutes of cardio on the elliptical to warm up my legs. It was another chilly morning in Central Florida!

I then headed over to the loft area of my gym for a yoga class. The instructor wasn’t quite as introspective as the instructor I love so much on Thursdays, but I still enjoyed the class and left feeling relaxed and adequately stretched.

Good Day

Today is a good day!

27 years ago Ryan was born. 😀 Stay tuned for a fun birthday post!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

lol…that reminds me of my friend encountering some infamous “doo doo” on her head as we made our way from gym class to the main building…oh so many years ago, but it was so funny that I’ve remembered it all these years.

I’m so happy your breakfast was spared, because it looks delicious!!

Pumpkin pie spice is a great way to turn up some fall flavor! Can I ask, when you warm up on the elliptical, about how fast do you go?

    • peanutbutterfingers says

      October 5, 2010 at 10:30 am

i don’t know how fast i go, but i do the elliptical at a level 10 (the ellipticals at my gym go up to 20, so it’s not that hard) & i keep the at incline level 9 (again the ellipticals go up to 20).

Happy bday Ryan! I think the bird was probably just trying to send him birthday wishes too. We all express ourselves differently. 🙂 The great thing about photography is that it can be super deceiving. If you never told us, I would have had no idea there was poop in the vicinity of your breakfast! Thanks for keepin it real girlfriend.
