Purse Scavenger Hunt

September 30, 2010 by Julie 74 Comments

First things first: Apparently when I provided links to subscribe to my blog via email, Google Reader or your Google homepage the other day, the links I put up were actually directed to my old WordPress blog.

I told you I’m not tech savvy!

Thank you to Michelle and Amber for bringing this to my attention. Here are the correct links that will, in fact, subscribe you to this blog:

  • If you want to subscribe to this blog via email, click here.
  • If you want to add this blog to your Google Reader, click here.
  • If you want to add this blog to your Google homepage, click here.

Sorry for my blonde moment! I told you I don’t dye my hair… 😉

Lunch

Now back to your regularly scheduled blogging!

Lunch today included a super-green lettuceless salad.

Lots o' Greens

In the mix was:

  • 1 large cucumber, sliced
  • 1 medium green pepper, sliced
  • Leftover roasted Brussels sprouts
  • Feta cheese
  • Balsamic vinegar + olive oil

On the side I enjoyed a crisp apple and a cup of Chobani strawberry banana Greek yogurt.

An Apple a Day

Yogi Yog

The Spread

I loved all the random flavors in this lunch!

Purse Scavenger Hunt

During my bridal shower last Sunday, one of the games my sister organized was a purse scavenger hunt. We quickly found out that many of us carry some pretty random things in our purses!

One of my friends actually had seven different kinds of lip gloss in her purse!

I thought it might be fun to do a little purse scavenger hunt on the ol’ blog today, but since you probably don’t want to go through a checklist of items, we’ll just keep it limited to this question:

What is the strangest thing you have in your purse today?

Mine is definitely the book Wedding Etiquette for Dummies. I checked it out from the library and it’s due back today, so I’ve been lugging it around all day!

I'm a Bag Lady

My second place item would have to be a pair of men’s socks. Don’t ask…

Now it’s your turn! Share away, my friends! 😀

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

The strangest thing would have to be receipts from the Coach Factory store in Las Vegas. I just came back from a trip with my girlfriends (for her bachelorette party!) and I have wanted a Coach purse so badly and got a steal of a deal. I’m keeping it with me to show off to everyone how much money I saved!!! 🙂

I have wallet, mini organizer, chapstick, kleenex, sunglasses, headphones for my MP3 player (which the MP3 player is sitting on my desk as I use a different headset at work to listen to music), and my Ventolin Inhaler. Sorry nothing to odd for me…

Hmm, I don’t even carry a purse to work; I use a backpack and there is nothing interesting in there. I used to carry a bag and a purse but then one time the bus I was riding took an abrupt stop and the contents of my bag flew all over the bus. So, after that I’m careful to only carry bags that zip and that don’t have embarrassing things in them. I leave my purse at home and just carry my wallet.

2 Silica gel packets. Not on purpose… wouldn’t that be weird if I had a thing about keeping my purse fresh?

I have to say – the Men’s Socks make WAY less sense than the Etiquette book. 😉

Today I’m carrying a wristlet, so I have just the necessities with me. I don’t have any strange items in my regular purse, but my biggest pet peeve item that I have are the receipts! I usually throw all grocery store, gas station, etc receipts straight in there until things become too messy.

Right now I have a smaller purse than usual and I think the weirdest thing I have is actually a copy of the children’s book A Little Princess. I have always loved the movie and decided to read the book and have been carrying it around to read when I get a chance.

No wonder my back hurts LOL!
