Blog Celebrity

May 27, 2010 by Julie 37 Comments

Tonight I met someone I consider a blog celebrity. 😀 Meghann (of the fantastic blog The Inner Workings of a College Graduate) and I got together in Winter Park for a massage, followed by dinner at Mellow Mushroom. (Kind of romantic, no?) I feel like such a little dweeb-o because I get all giddy before…

Hello, Joe

May 25, 2010 by Julie 22 Comments

Sloppy Joe, that is. 😀 Tonight’s dinner featured sloppy joes paired with roasted Brussels sprouts. I made the ‘joes using lean ground beef, a chopped onion, apple cider vinegar and ketchup. The flavors blended perfectly to create a tangy sloppy joe mixture. I filled my bowl with the beef and Brussels sprouts and went back for seconds…

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Cold Plate

May 18, 2010 by Julie 29 Comments

Tonight’s dinner was a cold plate! I am usually the queen of hot dinners. They seem more comforting, satisfying and substantial. Tonight, however, I kept things on the cooler side with a chilled plate of BBQ chicken salad and freshly sliced green and red peppers. I was inspired to include the freshly sliced peppers in my dinner after talking to…

Two Pounds of Ravioli for Three People

May 16, 2010 by Julie 11 Comments

Two pounds of delicious ravioli for only three people? Sounds good to me! Ryan’s cousin Daniel came over to our apartment to hang out after their soccer game this afternoon and stayed to watch the Magic game and enjoy dinner, courtesy of Monterey Pasta Company and the free ravioli they sent to me. I cooked two…
