That’s What Happens When…

…you forget to watch your oatmeal in the microwave because you have a spoon in the Nutella jar.

Oops.

I ate my remaining Kashi instant oats topped with blueberries and served them with a side of grapes and black cherry Greek yogurt.

Breakfast was enjoyed after a sweaty workout.

I awoke around 5:45 a.m. and drove to the gym to sneak in a quick workout before everyone else was awake and bustling about.

I started with 20 minutes on the elliptical before hopping off to do an upper-body workout that looked a lot like Monday’s workout.

After the gym, I came home and ate breakfast on the patio. The view at my parents’ house definitely trumps the view at our house.

Plans for the day:

  • Dentist
  • Bake, bake, bake
  • Assemble Turkey Trot costumes
  • Handful of Thanksgiving-related errands

The holiday madness officially starts today!

We’re doing the St. Pete Times Turkey Trot too! I’m going to be walking the Fun Run 5K with my two little boys and husband. It’s nostalgic for me, since last year the SPTimes Turkey Trot was the first 5K where I ran the entire distance. After just having done the WHM, I may just cry again when we are there. Huge crowds, though! Have fun…I wish I could find you to see your costumes, but I’ll see them on your blog.

    Julie,
have you ever tried the Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter? Its delicious and better for you than Nutella b/c it has less sugar and is mostly nuts. I highly recommend it, although the only place I’ve seen it is a fresh market, so it may be tricky to track down.

I’m so impressed by your early morning workouts, do you eat anything first? I seriously need to eat IMMEDIATELY after waking and only a large breakfast will do so I’m left with cramp risk and not a lot of time in the morning (I’ve tried the banana-run-breakfast sequence a few times but it feels terrible and affects my performance). I’d love some tips on fitting in/energizing for an am workout!
