The Workout That Wasn’t

July 16, 2011 by Julie 63 Comments

It’s official.

The final Harry Potter movie is awesome.

harry potter 001

As a big Harry Potter fan – someone who has read all of the books and seen all of the movies – I had high hopes for the final film. Both Ryan and I agreed that it was a great conclusion to such an epic series of amazing movies. It’s hard to believe that the first Harry Potter movie came out when I was in high school and the final one made its debut yesterday, now that I’m four years removed from college.

After the movie, it was pouring outside, so Ryan and I decided to duck into a nearby frozen yogurt shop.

How convenient!

Delicious, as always. I think I will be adding Heath bar bits to all of my fro yo cups in the future.

The rest of our evening was spent at Moe’s eating delicious Mexican food before enjoying a quiet night in.

The Workout that Wasn’t

As I went to bed last night, I had plans to wake up early to work out, but when 6 a.m. rolled around, I decided to skip my workout for the day in favor of some extra sleep. I am going to my first ever blogger conference in Maitland at 9 a.m. today and figured I’d just take today as my rest day and workout tomorrow. Ain’t no thang.

After a quick shower, I headed downstairs to make myself breakfast and pack a lunch for the conference. (I think you have an option to buy lunch, so I’m packing a bag to save some moo-lah.)

Breakfast was a yummy smoothie bowl!

I think all of the frozen yogurt I ate yesterday left me craving more creamy and cool food this morning.

And now I’m off to learn all about blogging. My friend and former coworker Lisa is also attending and I’m really excited to see her!

Questions of the Morning

  • Have you ever been to a blogging conference? If so, which one and how was it? If not, would you want to go to one?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I attended Food Blog Forum in Atlanta last fall. I really loved meeting other food bloggers, but I felt very intimidated. I was definitely a very small fish in a big pond. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, though. Have fun today!

I’ve never been to a blogging conference before, but I just commented on Meghann’s blog that I would love to do that—I need to check and see if Baltimore has anything like this that I can check out!

And I’m so glad you enjoyed HP as much as I did. I thought it was perfection—and I was absolutely that person who was clapping and whooping and smiling like a fool. It was glorious!

LOVED HP. I’m the same age as the actors, so it’s weird to watch the earlier movies now and see how young I was then!

I’ve been to Fitbloggin, HLS and Foodbuzz. Loved them all, but Foodbuzz was my favorite just because San Francisco is such an amazing town to explore.

For big fans like us, it really seems like the end of an era doesn’t it? It’s hard to think I’ll no longer be waiting for the next book or movie to be released.

Plus I was super happy for J to FINALLY know the ending, it’s been killing me to keep it a secret ever since the book came out!

    Hey Julie!
I was walking past Petterino’s yesterday afternoon (I live and go to school in Chicago!) and I was thinking about how crazy it would have been to randomly see you last week when you were in town for that wedding! My cousin is also a teacher at your old highschool. The world is so small. 🙂

Anyways, this year I’m running the Chicago Half Marathon in September (again) with a training/charity team called Team to End AIDS. I’ve been raising money that will go to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. So far I’ve already exceeded my minimum and just hosted a big fundraiser at my work. I want to raise more though! Maybe you can post my link for anyone who would want to donate? Even $5 makes a huge difference!
Please and thank you girl!! http://afc.aidschicago.org/netcommunity/kimib2
