Things I’m Loving Friday #54

October 10, 2014 by Julie 96 Comments

Hello and Happy Friday! Friday is officially my favorite day of the week. I love the anticipation of the weekend and knowing two days full of fun (and hopefully some relaxation!) await. Ryan and I have a low-key weekend planned and I could not be more psyched. We are hoping to visit a pumpkin patch at some point, make a trip to IKEA for some frames for my gallery wall and hike with Sadie. Woop!

But now let’s dive right into my favorite post of the week: Things I’m Loving Friday! Below you will find a list of things that are making me smile. (Lots of fall-themed loves goin’ on this week!) As always, feel free to play along in the comments section of this post!

Things I’m Loving Friday

  • Maple Water

Seva Maple Water

I first tried maple water during my trip to the Outaouais Region of Canada last year and was pleasantly surprised to find myself loving the lightly sweet flavor. It is incredibly refreshing and I’m happy to see it’s becoming more and more prevalent in the United States. Yum!

  • Fall Frozen Yogurt

Fall Frozen Yogurt

When frozen yogurt places start offering fall-themed flavors and toppings, you know I have to take advantage! I actually felt slightly ridiculous when I went to pay for this cup of frozen yogurt this week because I was also wearing orange and black. Overkill???

  • Fabletics Lima Capri + Omemee Tank

Fabletics Capris

After reading about Fabletics on so many blogs (Hi Ashley!) and receiving a few comments from you guys about their workout apparel, I was awfully excited to receive an email from the company offering to send me a few pieces from their fall collection. So far I’ve had the chance to try the Lima capris and and the Omemee tank and I cannot say enough great things about both pieces. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post about my favorite workout pants, am really picky about my workout capris and leggings. They need to be thick enough and have enough compression to smooth my legs and disguise any lumps and bumps. They must stay up during my workouts, feel comfortable and not dig into my waist . The Lima capris meet all of my criteria and then some! They’ve been a staple in my barre workout wardrobe and I wear them lounging around the house and on long walks with Sadie, too. They come in a myriad of colors and I have my eye on the Cranberry Stripe pair!

Just a quick heads up for those who may be new to Fabletics like me: It can be a bit confusing when you first browse around the website! Fabletics is a little different from most workout apparel companies in that you can buy their clothes directly from the site or become a VIP member and receive a monthly workout outfit (skipping months whenever you want). You also get 50% off your first month’s outfit ($25 for capris + sports bra + tank!?) which is pretty awesome. Full disclosure: I have included my referral link above, which will earn me a small credit to the site (the same credit you’ll receive if you refer a friend as well). So far I am impressed and I’ve already ordered my first $25 outfit!

P.S. The pullover you see above was from my most recent Stitch Fix box and it’s officially the most comfortable pullover I own. LOVE it.

  • Garfi, The Angriest Cat On The Internet

Angry Cat Garfi Angry Cat

Also known as my new favorite cat on the internet. He cracks me up!

  • Angie’s Candy Corn Kettle Corn

Angie's Candy Corn Popcorn

I first spotted this kettle corn at The Fresh Market a few weeks ago and left swimming in a pool of regret when I didn’t buy it. Well, yesterday I found myself back at Fresh Market after coaching Girls on the Run and didn’t make the same mistake again. I bought it and the entire bag was nearly devoured by me alone. I managed to save Ryan a cup of it (which took some serious willpower), so heed my warning: You will not be able to put this stuff down! If you love candy corn and kettle corn, you will love this stuff.

  • Spooky Circuit Workout

Spooky Circuit Workout

With Halloween on the horizon, I figured it was a good time to bring back this Spooky Circuit Workout! I did this workout at home this week (all you need is a set of dumbbells and some stairs or a *sturdy* chair/bench for the step ups) and it’s a sweaty one!

  • Your Skincare Comments

Thank you so much to so many of you for leaving such thoughtful comments on my blog post about switching up my skincare routine earlier this week. I really appreciate the resources and experiences you shared, the products you recommended and the time you took to type everything out. I took lots of notes!! If you happen to share my skin frustrations, definitely check out the comments section of that post. So many helpful tips!

Today I am loving the beautiful colors of October. The trees are finally starting to change color here in Philadelphia. I drive by this gorgeous tree each morning on my way to work. The leaves are green, orange and red at the moment. I had to pull over and take a photo.

They’re pretty tight (I think this is a good thing)… The reviews online look like people think they may run a little small, but I actually think they’re true to size.

I agree, I love Fabletic’s outfit options. Those Lima capris are my favorite right now. I also picked up a bag of that popcorn at Target last week and then was inspired to make my own!

I’m loving Pumpkin Spice Tea (made by the Republic of Tea). I found it at my local grocery store. This is my first fall as a vegan. I’m experimenting with lots of new pumpkin recipes. This morning, I made myself a pumpkin tea latte with almond milk!

Fabletics looks like something I’d really be into! I’m always razy for fall fashion, especially if it’s workout fashion. It feels good to look good while working out, yeah? At least, ifs my motivation to get up early and kick some ass in a new sport bra.

I totally need to go get some fall fro-yo after seeing that amazing photo of yours! 🙂 Thanks for sharing that great circuit workout again, too! I remember doing it last year and loving it, but I’d forgotten about it… I’m re-bookmarking it to try this weekend 🙂 Your low-key weekend sounds lovely. Hope it’s a great one!

Thank you for turning me onto Fabletics Julie!!! AWESOME!! Just ordered my first outfit from them.
Let’s see, a thing I’m loving – Celestial Seasons Chai tea! I had never tried chai, thinking I wouldn’t like it, but after your Celestial Seasons post, I decided to give it a shot. AND prepped with some hot almond milk and a touch of stevia, oh my yum!

And, I can’t wait to show the hubs that angry cat. OMgoodness. Thanks for sharing, as always, Julie. I always feel lighter after reading your posts. : ) PS I am going to share the workout on my blog, and link it up. It’s a goodie!

Ohhhh man that angry cat is toooo cool!!! I really don’t know if it’s real or not because of its epicness, haha! And I’m all for workout bottoms that hug me well but don’t dig in. The sides get itchy and irritating after a while, otherwise.
