Things You Could Talk About for Hours

May 26, 2011 by Julie 123 Comments

Today’s lunch was yesterday’s lunch! Around noon yesterday I just wasn’t in the mood to eat the salad I packed. I went home for a smoothie for lunch instead and left my lunch in the office refrigerator overnight.

Today I was in the mood for a salad and I dug into my neglected bowl of veggies with excitement this afternoon.

Today’s salad included:

  • Butter lettuce
  • Honey ham
  • Grape tomatoes
  • Carrots
  • Cucumber
  • Bell peppers
  • Honey mustard dressing

It was a good one!

Things You Could Talk About for Hours

This morning at work I was talking with one of my coworkers about our dogs. We were both filling our water bottles and ended up standing by the water cooler for a while laughing at random stories about the crazy animals in our lives.

When I sat back down at my desk, I began thinking about all of the things in the world that I feel like I could talk with someone about for hours:

  • Dogs (vizslas in particular)
  • Blogging
  • Cooking and baking
  • Weddings
  • Celebrities (My heart skips a beat when I see a new issue of US Weekly on the magazine rack at my gym)
  • Fitness
  • Travel
  • Old episodes of Friends
  • North Carolina and my desire to live there
  • Food (specifically dessert)
  • Body image and self worth
  • The future and personal goals

Then I thought about the topics that bore me to tears within two minutes:

  • Finance
  • Web coding
  • Insurance

Questions of the Day

  • What is one thing you could talk about for hours?
  • What is one topic that bores you to tears within two minutes?
