Two Ingredient Creamy Pasta Sauce

June 4, 2012 by Julie 78 Comments

This evening I made a creamy pasta sauce that was ridiculously easy and only involved two ingredients.

goat cheese marinara sauce

  • Your favorite marinara sauce
  • Goat cheese

That’s it!

First, I prepared whole wheat spaghetti and added fresh spinach, zucchini and Italian chicken sausage to the mix. I then poured marinara sauce over the pasta and stirred in crumbled goat cheese until the cheese melted into the marinara sauce, creating a creamy, delicious sauce that left the noodles perfectly coated.

For such an easy dinner, it was a big hit in our house!

I was in the mood for a comforting meal and this big bowl of spaghetti satisfied that craving.

Time to watch The Bachelorette! After last week, Ryan fell from grace for me but Sean definitely grabbed my interest! My fellow Bachelorette fans, do you have a favorite bachelor?

I am so going to try this dinner some time soon! Would be even good to make this without chicken for a vegetarian meal!

That looks delicious! And my favorite is Jef (even though I have no idea what he was wearing last night at the Rose Ceremony), followed closely by Sean. 🙂

I like Arie, Sean and Charlie so far! I haven’t watched last nights episode yet though.
WHY do people like Doug? I don’t like him at all. He always seems so serious and confrontational and there’s just something off about him…

Arie all the way!!! So cute 🙂 I’ve stirred cottage cheese and hummus into pasta sauce before. I’ll have to give the goat cheese a try. Great idea!!

I really like Ryan the first week, but not so much now. I like Sean as well! She seems to really, really like Arie.

For some reason, the very first time I ever saw Ryan the red warning flags went up and I instantly disliked him, so the following week was no surprise to me. Doug appears to be a good choice on the surface but something about him really bothers me so I’ll pass on him to. I’ll reserve picking one until I see one or two more shows!

God, yeah. Ryan just wants to be the next Bachelor! Terrible :-(. I def like her chemistry with Arie! And, I can’t wait to see next week to see who she curses out.

I’m really liking Sean and Arie (although Arie’s kissing is a little on the “oh wow, slow down a little” side)!!

Ryan and Doug…you had me a first, but now I’m doubting you both. Buh-bye.

I LOVE Arie and Sean!! I think they both seem like gentleman and are very genuine.
Ryan, while I liked him at first seems very arrogant now. I also see red flags with Doug, he loses his temper WAY too easily!! Not a good thing.

The pasts looks so good!! Easy dinners are a requirement for me.

I Love Love Arie & Sean…not such a fan of Doug and Ryan after last night…I was sorta sad she sent Charlie home too..over some of the other guys :-/ I guess it doesn’t matter when she sends them home..since she’s going to marry Arie! haha

The pasta looks amazing! My husband and I tried your Taco Meatloaf recipe last night, it was in an older post, it was a hit…different but tasty!!

Ooh that looks good. My husband doesn’t like goat cheese but maybe he won’t notice it in the sauce! I think Sean is my favorite now, but I like that little hipster guy too. I doubt they’ll end up together but I like him. My husband doesn’t like the Bachelorette either…he wouldn’t like this post, ha!

YUMMM!! That looks delicious! I’ve mixed laughing cow cheese in to pasta before (since it’s also creamy like goat cheese), but I’ve never thought to try goat cheese before! Sounds delicious!

I always pick one person on the first night who I think will win, and with Ashley I picked JP and with Brad I picked Emily, with Ben however, anyone but Courtney! But this season I picked Arie, so we will see 🙂

This is a good idea! Have you ever tried a peanut butter noodle sauce? It’s basically crunchy peanut butter, soy sauce, and sirarcha (sp).

This is a really great idea, and I love goat cheese so much!

Have you ever tried Laughing Cow cheese wedges? They have lots of different flavors for only 35 calories a good size wedge. I bet it would have the same kind of effect on the sauce!!! 🙂
