Two Ingredient Creamy Pasta Sauce

June 4, 2012 by Julie 78 Comments

This evening I made a creamy pasta sauce that was ridiculously easy and only involved two ingredients.

goat cheese marinara sauce

  • Your favorite marinara sauce
  • Goat cheese

That’s it!

First, I prepared whole wheat spaghetti and added fresh spinach, zucchini and Italian chicken sausage to the mix. I then poured marinara sauce over the pasta and stirred in crumbled goat cheese until the cheese melted into the marinara sauce, creating a creamy, delicious sauce that left the noodles perfectly coated.

For such an easy dinner, it was a big hit in our house!

I was in the mood for a comforting meal and this big bowl of spaghetti satisfied that craving.

Time to watch The Bachelorette! After last week, Ryan fell from grace for me but Sean definitely grabbed my interest! My fellow Bachelorette fans, do you have a favorite bachelor?

I started out really liking Ryan but he is so arrogant. I am really starting to like Doug a lot, he seems very sweet and genuine. I can’t wait til she gets rid of Kalan!

Wow! We must have been blogging at the exact same time because I just finished my post and clicked over to see what you’re up to and voila! You posted, too!

I am eating a big bowl of lentil soup with a chi/horchata late right now (it’s FREEZING in Seattle today). I can totally relate with the comfort food craving tonight 🙂 After an 8 miler Saturday and a 4 miler yesterday, I am in need of comfort foods and couch time with my little family!

    Have a great night, Julie!

My bf loves making his own sauces and he’ll often put in whatever cheese we have lying around in the fridge. BTW, what are your favorite brands of marinara sauce? I haven’t found any that I’m over the moon with (maybe that means I should make my own… 🙂

I’m loving Sean and Arie! They both seem very genuine and not as aggressively competitive as some of the guys. I agree – Ryan fell off my good list after last week, and after the first date of this episode, I’m not sure about Doug anymore! Time will tell… 🙂

I did not like Ryan at first and I like him least of all now. Even less than Kalon! I actually really like Arie (especially their chemistry) and I think Sean would be perfect for her. I’ve read people saying things negative about some of the ones I like from googling them…so this season I’ve decided NOT to google anyone — it just ruins it. I ruined last season by doing that.

I love Charlie–he seems really sweet and genuine–and the fact that he has had some hardships and pain in his past from his accident seems to give me compassion which will be good for Emily and Rikki. I also like Arie–he seems really sweet. It also broke my heart last week with the dad missing his son so much–(I forgot that one’s name–)I’m glad Emily sent him home to be with his son!

I’m not Ryan’s biggest fan, but I do think that he’s getting a bad edit. A lot of the things he says that are shown that aren’t in direct conversation with Emily could be shown out of context since the producers ask a lot of leading questions in their ITM’s. For example… When he says he’s a good catch, what question do you think he’s responding to, you know? But besides that, I do think that he thinks too highly of himself and that he has been too honest/ poorly joked with Emily at times for sure.

Jef is my favorite! Kiss her already, dang it.
I think Sean is the best match for her. One of the many reasons being that she takes family and faith seriously and he seems to line up best in that area.
But I think she likes Arie the best, whether he’s the best fit or not. I think his humor and personality (and aggressive kissing!!) are more attractive to her than wholesome Sean or shy Jef.
